Clyde was living his dream. He had never been in a happier place in his entire life, and it was all because of you. The Duct Tape was his now because you cared enough about its importance to the people in town as well as its importance to him. He had never had something like that before. He never had someone who cared so much for him to help give him his dream.

To have someone who truly loved him and he believed it felt like nothing he could ever describe.

After that night of your surprise idea Clyde met with Hank to iron out the details. Clyde was determined to give over the asking price because he had plenty of money and Hank deserved it. Which Hank argued with him about for days till he learned that Clyde would not budge. Clyde also was determined to keep the name because it meant the world to him. He also told Hank that no matter what he would always have a stool at the bar and a comped tab for as long as he lived. A couple of days later and the three of you were in the back office as the relator pulled out new ownership papers.

Clyde fidgeted with the pen in his hand as nerves pricked at him, "are you actually sure about this Hank?"

Hank let a deep old chuckle leave his chest, "kid I've never been more sure about anything. I know I'm leaving this place in good hands." He gave you a grin and a wink to include you in his meaning.

Watching the two go back and forth for the next few minutes as the emotions start to rise within you. It was just one of those wholesome perfect moments in life where the father figure is passing the torch off to the rightful son figure knowing he's passed along all he could. It made you think about your father and how grateful you were for him even though he wasn't here anymore. Grateful to have been given all of the love and guidance that he could as a single father leading you to where you were today. Here with Clyde.

The relator points to a few x's flipping the pages over and over, "both of you will sign here, here, here, and here."

They both nod and click their pens. You pull your phone out to snap a few pictures of them signing. Clyde glanced up at you, giving you a playful smirk that scrunched his nose a little. You giggled to yourself and snapped another few pictures. After it felt like forever they both clicked their pens closed.

Hank smacked Clyde's shoulder with affection, "I'm proud of you son. You will do much better without me." Clyde lowered his head with a smile trying to hide the emotions fighting their way across his features. You wiped under your eyes at the few stray tears that fell from pure happiness.

The relator scooped the papers up quickly, "congratulations Mr. Logan you are now the proud new owner of the Duct Tape Bar and Grill. I will get these papers filed with the business agency and here is a copy of the new business title." Clyde thanked them and showed them out of the office.

Hank turned to you, opening his arms wide. You quickly embraced him for a hug. He said softly by your ear, "thank you for pushing him in the right direction."

"Oh Hank." you leaned back to look at him, "it wasn't me. He's always wanted this."

He nodded, "I know, but you were the one to convince him to do it, so thank you. If it wasn't for you I don't think he'd ever have approached the subject, and I've been waiting for it for a long time now."

"What?" you asked in confusion.

"Oh little lady, I've been dropping hints about this idea for years now. It just all finally came to a head financially that it was now or never. He's very lucky to have a girl like you to do what's best for him."
