The house was filled with familial love and laughter. You weren't sure what the celebration was for this time but the usual weekly hangout had become designated to you and Clyde's place. It might have been because you were so tired of being pregnant. Almost a week past your due date, feet swollen, and back aching. However, all of that melted away when everyone was there hanging out keeping you company. "Baby watch," as Sylvia called it.

The bar and grill had started to become a real staple to town becoming the locals and the growing amount of out of towners favorite place to spend their extra time. When you and Clyde found out you were pregnant he immediately searched for a manager so that he wouldn't have to be there all the time. The gesture alone had you on your knees in the office taking care of him just like he always takes care of you.

Clyde was always there with you every step of the way. At every doctor's appointment with his own set of questions, reading any and every expecting baby book he could find, indulging any and every craving you had, and even physically taking care of every twinge, ache, or pain the best way he knew how. His love and care for you and your growing baby was evident in everything he did and it just made you love him even more.

Just like now as Sadie and Jimmy played a game at the big dining table, Mellie and Joe were serving up some dessert Aunt Dolly brought, Sylvia was chit chatting with Dolly, and you were stretched out across the couch legs across Clyde's lap. His hand ran up and down your legs mindlessly and your hand held your stomach as the two of you just enjoyed the family around you. In your home. Your dreams were starting to unfold before your own eyes.

A few more minutes of this and suddenly an uncomfortable feeling started to creep in. You shifted on the couch slightly trying to reposition yourself. Clyde immediately caught on eyeing you carefully till he asked, "you alright Sunshine?"

Brows furrowing like you were really thinking about it. Trying to really figure out if you were okay or not. It wasn't terribly painful, but it was just getting more and more uncomfortable by the second. Swinging your legs to the side, feet hitting the floor you glance over at Clyde giving a gentle grin, "yeah I think so, i'm just uncomfortable."

He leaned over hand touching your round belly returning your grin, "tell me what you need, and i'll get it or do it."

Reaching out you cupped his face in your hand thumb tracing his cheek saying, "thank you. Maybe just some water. I don't know if I drank enough today."

Clyde nodded and pressed a quick kiss to the side of your head, "will do my love."

He stood and took a step or two when you said, "also will you grab..."

Cutting you off he finished your sentence, "those chocolate covered pretzels too."

Your eyes widen in surprise but not really he did stuff like that all the time. Knowing you like second nature. After a second you both just smiled big as he waited for you to say something. You tried to hide your laugh as you sank back into the couch, "yes that would be great."

With a quick nod and a satisfied grin Clyde turned to accomplish your task. Sitting there for a few minutes was fine as the uncomfortable feeling never got horribly worse but it most definitely did not go away. Clyde returned within the next few minutes with a glass of water and your desired snack. You sat for a little bit finishing your water and snack chit chatting with your family and enjoying the evening.
