Background: Ryu Jinseo, also known as Jenny Ryu, was born on May 25, 1997 in Sydney, Australia with her mother, father, and two older brothers. She went by Jenny before leaving Australia. She wanted to become a kpop idol all her life; she wanted to fulfill her dream of going on stage and singing. Jinseo auditioned for Jellyfish Entertainment in 2017 where she got through the first set of auditions, in which she had to fly over to South Korea and go to Jellyfish Entertainment straight away. It was all new to her since she hadn't made any friends yet but started to become confident in making friends right away. After two years of training, Jinseo debuted in a girl group but eventually left the group and the company to join Pinky Entertainment after the CEO noticed her through her group's official YouTube.
