Background: Diamond was born in Shanghai, China to a mother and father who already had a son, her older brother. Minutes later, Diamond's younger sister was born, making them twins. Growing up, Diamond and her twin were really close but as they got older, they started to drift apart as their priorities changed. Diamond started to become popular which resulted in her caring more about her friends and popularity than spending time with her sister. However, by the end of their high school years, Diamond secretly yearned for her sister's company but was too prideful to ever show it. Despite looking alike, Diamond was always considered the 'prettier' one and she used it to her advantage. She grew up acting in school plays which lead her to enjoy dancing and singing, even into her college years. This is how she got scouted by Pinky Entertainment. But to her sister's unknown, Diamond only accepted the offer if her sister got to come along too.
