~Barae's POV~

I was sitting with Chewy and some of the other members at a table. While many people came up to tell me happy birthday, I only half paid attention to them. I couldn't take my eyes off of Soojung who was sitting a couple tables down from us, her head in a book as she sat by herself.

"Go talk to her already, would you?" Chewy said, elbowing me. She was quiet enough to where nobody else at the table could hear our conversation as she was sitting right next to me.

"What?" I looked at Chewy, confused as to what she was talking about.

"Soojung." Chewy stated. "Go talk to her."

"What makes you think I would want to talk to her?" I said, looking down as I played with my fingers in my lap.

"Um, the way you just stare at her at every one of these RC events." Chewy said, sitting back. "I know my brother, you like her, so just go talk to her. She always sits by herself and I feel bad for her."

"So you go talk to her." I said.

"Okay, I will." Chewy said, standing up from the table. "But you're coming with me."

Chewy grabbed my arm and yanked me up from the table, dragging me over to where Soojung was sitting.

"Noona, what are you-" I said, starting to freak out.

"Don't worry, you'll thank me later." She said.

I tried to pull away from Chewy but my nerves took over and made me too weak to do so. Before I knew it, we were standing in front of Soojung.

"Hey, Soojung!" Chewy exclaimed when she got there.

Soojung looked up to see Chewy and I.

"Hello." She bowed her head.

"I feel like I haven't really taken the time to introduce myself." Chewy said. "I'm Chewy and this is my brother, Barae."

"Hello." I said, giving an awkward wave.

"Hello." Soojung said, looking at me. "Nice to meet you both."

"It's nice to meet you too!" Chewy exclaimed. "Do you mind if we sit here?"

"Go ahead." She said, motioning at the chairs.

Chewy sat down and I just stood there awkwardly until she pulled me down herself. Soojung just stared at the both of us while Chewy and I just stared back. I don't think any of us knew what to say.

"It's mine and Barae's birthday today!" Chewy finally broke the awkward silence.

"I know." Soojung nodded. She wished Chewy a happy birthday then looked at me. "Happy Birthday."

"Thanks, you too." I said, unconsciously, resulting in Chewy giving me wide eyes. "I mean-"

Soojung let out a single snicker, covering her mouth. I flushed with embarrassment as Chewy tried to recover the conversation.

"What are you reading?" Chewy asked Soojung.

Soojung showed Chewy the cover, the title reading, To Kill A Mockingbird.

"Oh! I love that one!" Chewy exclaimed. "Made me sad to know that they killed the mockingbird at the end."

Both Soojung and I let out a sudden laugh, causing Chewy to look at the both of us.
