Personality: Despite his rough school life, Gyutae's extremely playful. He would do a silly dance if he's happy right on the spot, would swing his arms around and do funny faces, and that's only a glimpse of how playful he is. He is full of laughs and he would be the moodbooster and he would always be there if someone is extremely unhappy just to cheer them up. Gyutae is also self sacrificial. For example, he would run to the nearest pharmacy just to get some medicine if someone is sick. Of course, he would break down. When he's just extremely tired or just really sad or even maybe his ears are not well, he would break down on the spot.

Background: Gyutae remembers that he told everyone that he'll be well known like Super Junior, or any other legendary kpop groups, and he remembers every single mouth laughed at him because of his dream. He doesn't mind it though, because he knows that his dream of becoming an idol is only a joke to everyone. He ignored them and stuck to his words, until things went way too far. He got bullied once again and this time his left ear functions decreases, so he used a hearing aid to support his hearing. Gyutae didn't give up that particular moment, instead he pushed himself to join any survival shows or auditions. He didn't go a long journey at some agencies as some thought he was 'disabled' due to his hearing condition. Just to test his luck, he tried auditioning to Pinky Entertainment so that at least he can do what he likes one last time before focusing on his study. He didn't expect to be accepted, but after audition and saw the announcement, he made the cut.
