Rue's POV
I went to our classroom and waited for Miss Fernandez. When she arrived, her eyes scanned the room, and when they met mine, I felt uneasy. Ma'am naman e enebe!
We greeted her, and she just nodded. "You're going to start your first activity in Architecture Design," she said.
Sumalubong sa amin ang matang napakalamig, "You will create your ideal space or room and then present it to your classmates," she added, pati ang boses niya ay tagos hanggang balat sa sobrang lamig.
"Any questions?" tahimik lang ang lahat. "I repeat, any questions?" she said again and raised her beautiful eyebrow, "No, Miss." I said, wala kasing balak ang mga kaklase ko na sagutin siya kaya sinagot ko na baka uminit na naman ang ulo niya.
"Okay, you have an hour to do your activity." she said firmly. Someone raised her hand kaya napataas kilay ulit si prof.
Yung pinsan pala ni Ma'am, "Ma'am Sage, can I talk with my classmates po about some parts and ideas for our activity?" she ask Miss Fernandez.
"Yes. As long as it's related to your activity but don't ask your classmates for the whole concept of your room, Miss Ellie." she said and no one dare to speak again.
May naramdaman akong lumapit sa akin kaya nag-angat ako ng tingin. Nakita ko ang pinsan ni Ma'am Sage na nakangiti sakin, she's pretty too. Sarap atang maging Fernandez, ang gaganda nila e.
"Hi, do you mind if I sit beside you?" ang sarap pakinggan ng kanyang boses.
"No, I don't mind." maikling wika ko, nahihiya pa ako sa kanya.
"I'm Elliott Fernandez, I know my name sounds like idiot but I'm not. You can call me Ellie pala." masayang sabi niya, she even offered her hand for a hand shake.
Natawa rin ako sa part na may idiot. Mukhang matalino naman talaga siya, beauty and brain kumbaga.
I accepted her hand, "I'm Venice, nice to meet you!" binigyan ko siya ng sweet na ngiti at napabungisngis naman siya, huh? Ang saya niya.
"I'm sorry if I giggled at you, I swear I didn't mean to. Ang cute mo lang kasi." kinurot pa ang pisngi ko.
"Ouch, you're hurting me!" I pouted kaya lalo siyang tumawa ng malakas at dahil don ay nakuha namin ang attention ni Miss Fernandez pati na rin ang ibang mga kaklase namin.
"Stop flirting in my class." boses nito ang umalingawngaw sa buong silid, nakataas ang kilay at nakacrossed arm pa sa harap namin ni Ellie. Ang taray talaga nito, kahit pala sa pinsan niya ay nakapasungit.
Tiningnan ko si Ellie, mukha siyang nasisiyahan sa nakikita. Parehong may tama sa ulo ata 'to, but pansin ko Ellie is more approachable and friendly like halos lahat ata sa room ay kilala niya at kilala siya.
"We're not flirting, Ma'am." ako na ang sumagot para sa aming dalawa ni Ellie, umalis ito at inirapan pa kami. Binulungan ko si Ellie at sinabing "sungit" sabay turo kay Ma'am kaya sabay kaming napahagikgik.

Pagkatapos ng isang oras ay sabay naming natapos ang art work namin ni Ellie. It's time for us to explain our work.
"Okay class, only your work will be on your desk, nothing else." agad namin siyang sinunod, nilagay ko muna sa sahig ang mga materials na ginamit ko.
She roamed her eyes and her gaze stopped on me "You, Miss Flovira. Come here in front and explain your work." pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon ay agad akong sumunod.
Ngitian ko muna ang lahat bago magsimulang magsalita "Good day everyone, allow me to introduce myself to all of you. I am Ruella Venice Flovira and in this activity, let me show to all of you my work." pagkatapos kong sabihin iyon ang ipinakita ko sa kanila ang gawa ko.
Natuwa naman ang puso ko ng makitang na-aappreciate nila yung drawing ko. "This is a simple room with a queen-size bed. Because I'm afraid of the dark, I added a dim light on the ceiling instead of a lamp by the bed. The bathroom is small but works well for me. I installed a built-in sliding door cabinet that's hidden when you first enter the room and added a small lounge area for relaxing. This design is simple, elegant, and cozy." Nasatisfy naman ako sa pag-eexplain ko ng aking gawa at natuwa ako ng makita silang magpalakpakan. I'm a soft hearted person gosh!
"Everyone who can see your design will tell you that it is not a simple room, Miss Flovira." she said and she's eyeing me like she wants me to agree on her explanation.
"No ate--I mean Miss Fernandez, I will agree with Venice. Her room is simple, you see there's no any furniture inside." buti naman nag-agree sakin si Ellie, ililibre ko nalang siya mamaya.
"I'm not talking about the furnitures and stuff, Miss Ellie. I'm talking about the space she occupied in that drawing" she said firmly pero matigas 'tong isa.
"Miss Sage, your room is five or ten times bigger than her artwork and you're claiming your room that it is small and simple." sagot naman ni Ellie. Ang tigas ng ulo, ayaw pa tumigil.
"Shut the hell up, Ellie! Come here in front you're making me pissed. You're the next student who's going to explain that artwork of yours." she's cursing in front of her students? Is she for real?!
"Ate, I'm not ready for my explanation. Actually I'm gonna ask Venice pa to tell me how she will explain my drawing."
"Explain or dos." narinig kong nagsinghapan ang mga kaklase namin at walang makatingin sa mata ni Miss Fernandez, halatang naiinis talaga ito ng sobra kay Ellie.
"Miss Sage, I'll explain my artwork na, please don't give me dos. Mommy's gonna sue me." pagmamakaawa niya sa pinsan niya, natatawa akong parang batang naghihingi ng piso ang mukha ni Ellie ngayon.
She stood up and go in front, nasa gilid lang ako. Tiningnan niya muna ako kaya nag thumbs up ako sa kanya, it means she can do it.
Ellie started explaining her not so called simple room, she wants her room to have full access using a technology. I think Miss Fernandez was amused in her presentation, kaya nung lumapit siya sa akin ay pinalakpakan ko siya at lalo akong natuwa ng sinabi niyang ililibre niya raw ako mamaya.
Class dismissal na at sabi ni Ellie ay intayin ko siya sa parking lot at syempre sinong tatanggi sa libre, hinintay ko siya roon. Ilang minuto ay lumabas ito ngitian niya ako kaya ngumiti rin ako pabalik ngunit biglang nawala ang ngiti ko ng makita na nandoon pala sa likod niya si Miss Fernandez.
"Venice, thank you for waiting!" she hugged me and kissed my cheeks. Hindi pa sana lalayo si Ellie kung hindi lang siya narinig ng tikhim ng nasa likod niya.
"Ate, I'm gonna eat with Baby Venice. Mauna ka na umuwi, kita nalang tayo sa bahay."
"No, I'll go with you." Kaya pareho kaming napatingin kay Miss Fernandez, she seems annoyed. Baka bad mood lang talaga siya at gusto mag-alis ng init ng ulo. Pero nung sinabi niya na na with you, sa akin nakatingin.
"I'm hungry too, so if it's alright with both of you, I'd like to join you." Kahit wala na kami sa classroom ay may awtoridad pa rin siya magsalita.
Wala na kaming nagawa ni Ellie kaya't napatango nalang kami pareho.
