Alejandro [deck the halls baby]

Alejandro was never the type to feel festive during the holding seasons.

That was until he met you.

Not that it became a habit but the feeling of joy he gets watching as you happily hung wreath lights along the rail of the stairs.

He was fond of the way you'd hum along to the overplayed Christmas albums that he and you made up half the streams. Despite how tired of the songs he got, for you, he'd be willing to listen till death if it made you happy.

The vulnerable side he had with you was something you cherished about him. He had a rough exterior but deep inside he was a kind man, caring to say the least.

His patience would run low, but again you were his exception.

"It needs to be longer at the end."

He critiqued watching from afar as your other pair of eyes.

"Like this?" You said moving the lights further down the rails. "Yes, it looks good." He clapped.

Placing his hands on your waist he picked you up from the step ladder helping you down.

"Ah, it's so pretty." You smiled hugging Alejandro by his side.

"Just as pretty as you mi amor."

He said kissing the side of your head.

"Ouh! Tree time!"

You excitedly squealed running along to grab ornaments. He watched in amusement as to how much you could've decorated the small home. But nonetheless, he helped being sure to leave the star for last as it was always your favorite part of decorating.

"Mi amor be careful."

He panicked a bit, your foot was moments away from slipping off the step ladder.

"I'm careful don't worry."

But to your ultimate demise, you jinxed yourself. As you stepped down your foot missed the step causing you to fall toward the side.

But with years of extensive training and experience, Alejandro's reflexes caught you before the fall.

You felt bad knowing that he had warned you before now he was sighing in his worried fatherly tone.

"I told you amor."

"Sorry love."

Leaning up you pressed a kiss against his lips, catching him off guard.

"Better?"

He smiled softly helping you stand straight. "Always better." He said kissing you once more.

"Now let's grab the star shall we?"
