" We need a medic now." Price yelled into his earpiece, the static of the radio made it clear that help wasn't coming.
"fuck." he cursed.
After an ambush, you and price were separated from the rest of the group, leaving you with the only choice to run. "come on stay with me (y/n)." he begged, trying to keep you from bleeding to death.
"it hurts captain." you weakly responded, your head spinning from exhaustion as you tried to stay conscious.
He applied pressure to your wounds as he ripped the hem off the sleeve of your undershirt using it to tie off your leg to provide aid to stop the bleeding.
"Can you move?" He asked helping situate you in a more comfortable position. You nodded using the broken wall to provide support.
"We need to get moving before we're found out." Price pulled your arm over his shoulder hoisting you up. "Just another walk in the park." You grunted feeling the wound gush under your own weight.
"watcher 1 how copy?" Price tried desperately to get into contact with anyone at this point, "Laswell how copy." he repeated once more but ended up throwing his com in pure frustration.
The pain and ringing sound in your ear echoed, the only thing you could comprehend was the muffled yell of price as you collapsed onto the ground.
He could feel you slowly fall out of his grip, the shallow grunt from your lips, and the sound of distanced shouting alarmed him as he could hear that of Russian soldiers trying to find the two of you.
at that moment he could've left you there to die, and hoped that he could've saved his own ass before you, but he couldn't, not if you held such a special spot in his heart. But his selfish act like this would ultimately end in his death, but he was careful.
So careful that despite his own injuries he was willing to carry you till the end, even if it meant he would die.
Dragging you onto his back, he limped to cover behind a large boulder trying not to react to the growing pain of his own wounds. However before he could tend to himself he took notice of the large cut across your face, might've been from the bullet grazing your face when you jumped in to save him.
He gently wiped over the wound, ridding of the dirt that crusted over your features. For a moment he found himself admiring you, even if it wasn't the appropriate moment for it, it wouldn't stop him.
"Over there." He vaguely heard as foot steps fastened from behind him.
Quickly he took you into his arms making sure not to touch your leg, and ran off to wherever his legs could take him.
He ran for what felt like hours, his legs ultimately collapsing from under him as he sat down. He held you in his lap as your head fell limp against his shoulder.
Taking your ear piece he tried to call for help one more. "Solider down, we need help." He breathed out, feeling restless.
"W-wh-re ar— yo—."
The static voice emitted. Price sighed in relief feeling himself chuckled in victory.
"I'm with Sargent (l/n) roughly 3 clicks out from the Al-Qatala cartel camp."
"C—opy."
He sighed letting a breathy chuckled escape his exhausted lungs. He could feel you shift slightly as your eyes twitched.
"Sargent."
Lightly he tapped your cheek hoping to get some sort of response from you.
"Are we home yet?" You said in a slight whisper, the dryness of your throat caused you to cough. Whincing in pain you toppled over a bit feeling as he held you closer. "Don't talk, help is coming."
You nodded weakly falling back into Price.
"Captain, your hurt." You said gently rubbing his cheek where dried up blood stained his skin. "It's John when were alone." He said grabbing you hand from his face.
"Don't worry about me." Reassuringly he kissed your hand holding it from the cold.
"Okay John."
The sound of a heavy vehicle approaching vibrated the ground alarming Price as he looked around frantically trying to find the source.
The sound came to an abrupt stop as the echo of talking and foot steps came running over to his position.
"Captain price!" Gaz yelled trying to locate him through the foggy forest.
"Over here Kyle!" He waved his hand from behind a tree catching Gaz's eye.
"Took ya bloody long enough." He cursed a bit feeling your weight being lifted as another soldier grabbed you from his possession. "Sorry sir, we had some running to do as well."
Gaz helped price stand as he guided him back toward the truck.
"Sit in the front I'll watch over her." Price looked at the solider tending to you motioning him to leave. He nodded hopping off to allow Price to take over.
"Get us home yeah?"
Gaz saluted before running to the passenger seat.
"I'm stinky." You mumbled a bit feeling the mud and sweat form a stench under the pressure of the blankets. "Your on your death bed and your smell is what your worried about?" Price asked knocking you slightly in the forehead.
"Cant go smelling bad around my captain." You joked feeling a slight cough. "Just hush yeah? Then we can worry about how you smell."
Price watched as you slowly dozed off to sleep, watching as your head rocked to the rhythm of the bumpy road.
He sighed, 'now or never' he though.
Bending down he pressed a firm kiss against your lips, but before he could pull back you pushed him back in, reciprocating the passion.
He smirked a bit feeling your sloppiness as you could barely control yourself.
"I think you smell fine."
