Chapter 9

  Alpha Max's home office

  When we arrive at their home it is beautiful. It is a large Tudor style home. It is right next door to the pack house. August is holding my hand while Phoebe let's us in.

  We enter and it is like walking back in time. I love the exposed wood and high ceilings. I gasp this place is gorgeous. Thanks my parents reside here. Unless there is a reason for them to stay in the alpha suite at the pack house.

  As soon as she shuts the door.  A very large man with dark brown hair encases Phoebe in a tight hug. Dad, August and I have someone important for you and the rest of the family to meet. Ok, Phoebe everyone is in the dining room.

  Her father is huge. I know his reputation.  I am beyond nervous.

  August squeezes my shoulder. Just breathe Gabriel you will be fine.   We walk into the dining room and their is a very long wooden table.

  Phoebe grabs my other hand. She leads me to where there are three seats open. Everyone is watching them holding my hands. I am feeling shy. 

  I try to hide behind Phoebe. With her heels on she is taller than me. We normally are the same height. 

  I hear whispering. One of her brothers says hey Phoebe who is the cutie. A woman next to him hits his shoulder, stop it.

August slings a possessive arm around my shoulder. Now everyone is paying attention to us. I am very red.

  Phoebe stands up tall and both her and August grab tight to my hands. Ok since you all can not wait till after dinner. I will make an announcement. This is Gabriel.

  August and I just found out he is our other mate.  He grew up at Harvest moon. He is a social worker currently helping August with the case involving the orphanage break ins.

  Dad he will be temporarily staying with us for now. We have some private details to discuss about the case with you after dinner. Alpha Max nods and stretches out his hand nice to meet you Gabriel.

  Welcome to the Raging river pack and our family. The woman next to him with bright red hair who is Phoebes spitting image. Stands up and hugs me, I blush.

I am Luna Christine. May I ask why they said temporarily stay. You are their mate correct?

  Yes mam and we just met. There is a lot to discuss. I am not ready to give up everything I have known.

  We are going to discuss things and compromise on some things.  I grew up at the Orphanage at harvest moon as a human. I am used to being independent.

   Mom that is enough for now. More will be explained in private with dad in his office. Ok Phoebe, will you and August help me grab dinner. Sure mom, no problem.

  They both stand up and follow Luna Christine into the kitchen.  Everyone around the table is just staring at me. Finally Phoebes younger brother says. Gabriel how old are you?

  Please call me Gabe and I am twenty two years old. Ok, are you human he then asks. Not quite I respond.

I just recently found that out on my twenty first birthday. I am not prepared to discuss those details at this time. I am sorry.

  Alpha Max says Lance cool it. You are making him uncomfortable. We will learn more about him with time.

Thank you Alpha Max Sir. I appreciate it. No problem Gabe and sir is not needed. You will be family. Thanks I am excited for that.  I grew up alone.
