Chapter 28

  It has been three days since Dorian arrived. Gabriel had the twins. Which we are still calling Baby A and Baby B.

Gabriel still has not woken up. Phoebe and I know he had names picked out. We are waiting for him to share them.

  Yesterday was the attack on Harvest moon. We were able to catch them by surprise. All our Allie's rallied together.

They fought valiantly and won. Dorian killed the head Huntress. Who has been tormenting him all these years.

  We only lost a few on our side. Many gave up after the head huntress was defeated. They were unsure why they were even following her. Her obsession with Gabriel and the Griffin legacy was ridiculous.

  Dorian has not left his sons side since he returned from the fight. He has been helping us with the twins. He said he missed so much of Gabriel's life. He promises to be there for all his grandchildren.

  He has a meeting tomorrow with the alpha. They are supposed to discuss his plans for the future. He would like to stay at Raging River. Until he can find a new home for his Griffin followers. 

  Eventually he wants us to go with them. He is expecting Gabriel and us to lead the new generation of Griffins. He said it would be good for Gabriel and our hybrid children to be with others like them.

  I partially agree. Gabriel has never been around another Griffin. That is till his father returned. I also think he needs to be around what he is comfortable with. He is going to try to find a place near by. 

  I walk into the room we have Gabriel set up in. Hey Dorian any changes. Not really, he did turn his head earlier but that was it.

I do feel like he will wake up soon. I want to be here for it he says.  No problem, I am going to bring in baby A.  I think it will be good for them to be near him.

   I am sure it will. He will want the boys as soon as he is awake. That I know.  I agree, I wish he would wake up soon. I go and get baby A. It is so crazy how identical the babies are.

  The only difference is their eyes.  Baby A has amber eyes. Baby B has sea blue eyes. Besides that they have Gabe's olive skin tone and my raven black hair. They are a perfect mix of the two of us.

  Phoebe visits once a day. She is on bed rest due to all the stress. She is just down the hall.

  The doctor wants her to try to stay pregnant for at least another month. They do not want her to go into premature labor. She is very concerned about Gabriel.

  Dorian is sitting on one side of his bed holding One of Gabe's hands. I sit next to him holding the baby. I set the baby on Gabe's chest. I can see his chest deflate like he sighed with relief.

Dorian looks at me. Did you see that August? Yes I did. Please grab the other baby. Maybe his sons on his chest will help wake him up.

  Dorian gets up quickly to retrieve baby B.  He comes back and sets him on Gabe's chest also. We are each on one side of Gabriel holding a baby. While they lay on their fathers chest. They snuggle close to each other on Gabe's chest.

  We watch as his chest rises and falls. Then we watch as he takes a huge breath in as he is taking in their scent. I think he is. His nose twitches then his eyes blink.

I squeeze his hand. Gabe we are here wake up please. He opens his eyes and he instantly looks down at his sons.

  His dad looks so relieved. Gabe you scared us. It has been three days since you had your sons.

Gabriel squeaks my sweet Solaris and Blaze. My first born is Solaris Michael, Sol for short. The second born is Blaze Richard. Absolutely perfect Gabriel.

  Phoebe is going to love them. Look how beautiful they have your olive skin tone and my black hair. They are identical except their eyes.

Solaris has bright blue eyes. Blaze has Amber eyes.  They are a mix between your hazel and your griffins golden eyes.

  You did great son. I was there when you had these blessings. I missed so much of your life.

I promise I will be here for my grandchildren. Also for you and your growing family from now on. Especially since that devil women is gone, Dorian says.

  I look at Dorian. Gabe while you were asleep the attack happened at Harvest moon. We lost very few lives on our side.

Your dad killed that evil woman leading the attack. Her followers conceded right away. They could not even remember why they were hunting you and the griffins to begin with.

  Your dad is meeting with Alpha Max to stay here. Until he finds a new place for his Griffin followers to settle down. We are hoping he finds a place nearby between here and Harvest moon. We know eventually you are meant to take over the griffin kingdom. It will be a sanctuary for all species, and hybrids alike that may need refuge.

  He listens, nods and swings an arm around his sons snuggling them closer to his chest. Dorian says Gabriel would you like some water. He nods and Dorian gets him a drink.

  When Gabe is done Dorian sets the cup down. I will be back. I am going to inform Phoebe and Tiana that he is awake.

I know Tiana will want to check his vitals. Phoebe will definitely want to see her mate and learn the boys names.

  Thanks Dorian I really appreciate it. I kiss Gabe's head and tell him we were so worried and that I love him so much. I then kiss both boys on the head.

  Do you want me to take the boys from you. I ask him. He urgently shakes his head no and tightens his hold on them. Ok Gabe it is fine. 

I will not take them till you want me to. If you would like I can put their bassinets in here. He says I would like that. No problem hopefully you can join me in our room soon. The boys nursery is done also.

  Dorian comes back with a very excited Tiana and Phoebe. Phoebe right away waddles over to Gabe. She carefully hugs and kisses him on the cheek. She then kisses the boys.

  I would like you both to meet Solaris Michael and Blaze Richard. Both women squeal how adorable and perfect the names are.

  Tiana is walking around checking Gabe's monitors and his vitals. She said how impressed she is on how fast he healed. Not really surprised though. 

I was there when August healed you and your body floated. I think you were unconscious for three days. Your body needed the rest after everything it went through.

  Huh excuse me Tiana. What do you mean I floated. There was also a golden glow from your body, Tiana says. You were hemorrhaging Gabe. There was so much blood and we were losing you.

   Your mate fed you his blood and cried. When his tears fell on you. Your body lifted off the table with a light. You were healed just unconscious.

  Hey you are here. That is all that matters. Guess my newest ability is Healing.

Hopefully I never need to use it on one of my mates again. It was terrifying seeing you like that. On the good side you met your father the same day you delivered our sons.

  Gabe has tears falling down his cheeks. I am so thankful to be here. I am looking forward to my future with my growing family. I am also excited to get to know my dad and fellow Griffins.

  Tiana finishes checking him out. She says he should probably rest here another couple days. He is starting to doze off. I love you Gabe.

  Your dad and I will go feed and change the boys. We then will bring in their bassinets and take turns staying in here with you. Luckily the recliner in the corner is very comfortable.

  Phoebe kisses him and the boys. I need to head back to my room. I am supposed to be on bed rest. These girls need to marinate at least another three to four weeks Phoebe says.

  Tiana then kisses his head. I am staying near her to make sure she is not over doing it. Rest Gabe we will see you soon.
