Chapter 12

  The next day we do as we have been. We wake up. August and I grab coffee and a quick breakfast. We then go to the Supernatural detective headquarters. We check with the chief and see if there are any updates on the case.

  We get any new updates and head to our appropriate work spaces. August is looking at the beginning of the burglaries, seeing where they started. Hoping that gives a lead to who we are dealing with.

  I am following up with the orphanages that were targeted so far. Since I am a children's social worker. I need to check on the children effected by this case. The one I am most interested in at this time. Is the child who was attacked.

  I plan on contacting the head mistress and the elven clan leader. I am going to try to schedule an appointment for tomorrow. I want to check on the little girl that was hurt and the other children residing there.

  As I am going over all the information. I get a horrible pain in my head. I shriek and everything goes black.

I see Phoebe and August sitting on the sectional at their place. Phoebe is holding two small infants. The next thing I know. I open my eyes to a bright room. August is hovering over my desk looking very concerned. 

  What happened Gabriel are you ok. I am not sure. Did I pass out. Not really you were working then you shrieked then closed your eyes. It was maybe two minutes then you opened your eyes and here we are.

  Oh my August, I think I seen a flash of the future. Huh really Gabe. Do you think this is a special ability from us mating. It might be. 

  How are you feeling now Gabriel? Fine I am getting hungry. Me to Gabriel it is almost lunch. Also Gabe I am a vampire.  I need to feed every couple days.

  With the stress and finding my other mate. I have been distracted. I usually feed off Phoebe. On our lunch break will you be comfortable with me feeding from you?

  Sure August, I would like to help you if I can. Thanks Gabe. Let's clean up here and pick up some lunch. Then after I will feed from you.  Sounds good August. 

  We walk to the cafeteria. We each grab a Turkey club. I get a side salad. August gets loaded potato soup as his side.

After we are done. We go to one of the private rooms near the restrooms. They have them for vampire feedings, and other private matters.

  August has me sit on the bench. He sits next to me. Then explained he will feed from my wrist versus my neck. The neck usually becomes to sensual and sometimes leads to sex.

  We definitely do not need that while working.  He licks my pulse point then bites in. I hum at the feeling. It is not painful but very interesting. 

  He licks the bite to seal it. It heals quickly. We are about to exit the room when August's phone starts to ring.

He notices it is Phoebe. I better answer this. She never calls when I am working.

  He answers it. I hear Phoebe going on quite loudly. Phoebe calm down August says. Breathe Phoebes and tell me what happened. I will put you on speaker so Gabe can hear to.

  Ok, I was vacuuming like normal. I bumped into the end table in the living room. The table shook and the lamp started to fall.

I flung my arm out to catch it. The lamp froze floating in the air. The clock stopped to.

  I think I froze everything in the immediate area. I looked out the windows and the trees were waving in the breeze. The neighbors dog was still running around. When I touched the lamp the clock started and I caught the lamp.

  What is going on August. Calm down Phoebe.  I think you may have received a special ability from mating with Gabe. He received one today also.

  He had a premonition or seen a small flash of the future. We can discuss all this more at home privately. If anything else strange happens do not hesitate to call us.

  Ok, love you both. See you in a few hours. I was thinking of making seafood chowder with crostini for dinner. Does that sound good with you two.

  Amazing Phoebe, thank you for adding more seafood to what you make. I know you two prefer red meat. No problem Gabe we can adjust accordingly to your preferred diet.

  See you soon Phoebe. We need to get back to work. No problem guys. She hangs up and I look at August.

Do you think you may have a special ability also. I am not sure Gabe. We will have to wait and see.

  For now August. I think we should keep this information to ourselves. We do not need people to piece things together and figure out I am not human. I completely agree with you Gabe.

  Let's go finish up our work for the day. That seafood chowder sounds good. I also really want to sit down. We should discuss both of your abilities in more detail. I second that, let's go.

  We head to our appropriate desks. I go over my plans about going to Elven territory tomorrow. August will accompany me. I am not to go anywhere alone.

  Once I am done. I meet him at his desk. We then head home. Phoebe did a great job with dinner.

I loved the seafood chowder. August seemed to like it too. I really appreciate them trying to appease me.

  After dinner we all change into comfy clothes and head to the large sectional. I heard phoebes account earlier about how she realized her power. I did not disclose what I seen in my vision.

  Phoebe was the first to ask what I saw. I started off telling them it was short and not completely clear. I seen August and Phoebe sitting in this very room on this couch. Phoebe had two babies cuddled in her lap. That was all I seen.

  She smiled, does that mean I will be pregnant? I am not sure. Phoebe this is the first time I have seen anything like that before. I will have to wait and see if I have more visions.

  How about you? Were you able to freeze anything else? Kind of I have been trying to figure it out. Gabriel try throwing the couch pillow at me.

Ok, I grab the small pillow next to me and toss it at her. She throws her hands out and it freezes. So does everything in the room except the three of us. August touches the pillow and all is back to normal.

  The three of us are now connected by mating. I wonder if you have a power August? No clue Gabe. I think we will have to wait and see. Not sure about you guys but I am exhausted.

  I will see you in the morning. I am going to head to bed. Goodnight Gabe, sleep well. You both as well.

  I kiss Phoebe on her forehead. August kisses me on the lips. I blush and head to the guest room. Where I have been staying.
