Chapter 25

  We decided to let Dan in on our secret. He was really surprised but promised to help. Bruce and him are going to get a little cabin in the woods for their selves.

  The Alpha had Bruce join morning training the last few days. He has been one of the last ones standing when they spar. The Alpha said he would be a great asset to the raging rivers warriors. Dan and Bruce were both happy with the news.

  Bruce wants to be near by if something happens. He has always taken it as his responsibility to keep me safe. He has been like that since we met when I was young.

Flash back
Five year old Gabriel was dropped off outside the elementary school. He was small and afraid to go in. It was his first day of Kindergarten. He knew no one. Seven year old Bruce was walking to school with his brother. He seen the small boy just staring at the large building. He just felt an unexplainable link to the small boy. He walked up to him and introduced his self. He walked the small Gabe to his class. From that day forward. Bruce would meet him outside the school in the morning and walk him to class. They have been best friends ever since.

  I feel so blessed that both of my best friends found their mates. Here in the pack I am now apart of. Tiana has her hands full with Lance.

  He is possessive, gets super jealous and questions everything about me. He wants to know more than what we told him. It is for his own safety. He just does not want to listen. He is still so childish with certain matters.

  Tiana told him to chill out. They will spend weekends together. They have marked each other.

They are waiting to mate till Lance is done with school. Phoebe and I both should have the babies by then. She is hoping at that time they can move in together.

  Phoebe and I both have growing baby bumps. My morning sickness and food aversions have eased up. I have just been insatiable and August really does not mind.

  He has been enjoying both mine and phoebes sexual urges. Sometimes I wake him up in the middle of the night to fill me the only way he can. Damn my dirty pregnant mind. 

  Today we were planning a picnic. It is supposed to be Bruce, Dan, Tiana, Lance and both my mates. It is a chance for us all to chat and get to know each other. We will all be spending time together.

  Since Tiana and Bruce are my best friends. Phoebe and August are my mates. This is a good time for all of us and our mates to do some bonding. 

  I made the avocado summer rolls and a variety of sub sandwiches. Bruce and Dan brought the charcuterie board with fancy meats and cheeses. Tiana made home made sun tea. Tiana and Lance brought desert. They made S'more cupcakes and fruit salad.

  Everything looked so good. We met in the open meadow behind the pack house. August brought two blankets for us all to set up on. I really want Lance to open up to me. Right now I do not think he trusts me.

  Tiana comes next to me and helps me sit down. I groan and the babies kick. She puts her hand on my belly and whispers something quietly. The boys settle down right away. Lance asks what she did.

I grabbed lances hand feel this. I set his hand on my belly. The boys move making his hand push off my belly.

Oh my that is weird he says. Tiana puts her hand back and the boys calm down again.  She is like the baby whisperer, I say.

  Lance has Tiana told you how we met. No he shakes his head.
Flash back
  Gabriel was a curious seven year old. He was wandering in the woods near the Orphanage. The ones behind his current home on Harvest moon territory. He got lost deep in the woods. A little seven year old elf girl. Tiana also was wandering that day. She felt a pull towards the Harvest moon pack. She crossed into their territory. She found a scared lost crying little Gabriel sitting on a log. She introduced herself and calmed him down. After that day they met frequently in those woods. They became the best of friends.

  Tiana always has been able to calm me down. Where I feel Bruce is always helping keep me safe. Phoebe and August aren't you jealous with how close they are, Lance asks. August responds I was jealous of Bruce at first. Then I realized we are close to him in different ways.

In the end we all want the same thing. What is best for Gabe. I really appreciate how understanding you and Phoebe are. They were my family when I had none.

  When you explain it that way. I guess I understand. He did not have what we had growing up. They were all he had.

I can see why they would be that close. Thanks Lance, I do not want you to be jealous of me. You will be my brother in law. You are my best friends mate.

  The rest of the afternoon we talked and got to know each other better. You definitely can tell Lance is the youngest and most immature of the group.

  August is the oldest and level headed one. Tiana actually seems the most mature of us all. I feel like we all even each other out. We all fill a part and seem to fit together.
