Chapter 16

  The next morning. I wake up to an empty bed. I hear the shower running. I decide to join August. Unlike last night we strictly shower and get clean.

  He then goes to his shared room with Phoebe to dress for the day. I just throw on some cargo khaki pants and a navy blue sweater. I pull back my hair and call my look complete.

  I meet them in the kitchen. Phoebe is finishing up breakfast. She made August and her sausage, cheddar and green pepper omelettes. She made me a mushroom spinach and feta omelette.

  She really does pay attention to me. It hurts me that I was struggling to be close to her. She deserves so much more.

  I promise I am going to show her more effort. I kiss her on the lips. I thank her for taking care of me.

  She blushes and says she enjoys it. August sets Coffee and Orange juice on the table. We all sit and enjoy a peaceful breakfast. Phoebe then asks how was your night.

  I blush and respond great. I then lower my eyes and drink my coffee. August nudges me with his elbow. I smile at him.

  Phoebe what time is your dad expecting us. Not for another hour she replies. Sounds good. We will present him with all the new information. I am sure he will set up stronger defenses also.

  Gabe are you nervous Phoebe asks. About what Phoebe. About what is coming or that these people may be getting closer. Your vision means something.

You are at risk. They must be on your trail. At least it did not show them attacking here. They must not know yet. I am staying with the raging river pack.

  They must some how know you are affiliated with Harvest moon and the Elves. I agree Phoebe. I am just curious how. I mean we know they are looking for me hard core.

If they only knew I am mated. Then they no longer can use me for immortality. If that even happened.

  I am not in a hurry to find out if I can be killed. That would mean I would have to get injured. I am not exactly a fan of pain.

  I agree August says. If we can go without injury. That would be great. Let's go meet with your dad Phoebe. Then Gabe and I will follow up with the chief at the office.

  I then tell Phoebe how about Gabe drops me off at that little Japanese restaurant after work. You meet me then after dinner we can see a movie. I would like to spend some time just the two of us. Since I drive to work with him. I then can drive home with you.

  Phoebe gets a huge smile. I would absolutely love that Gabe. She then looks at August you do not mind. Not one bit Phoebe. I had quite my fill of him last night he winks at me and I blush.

  Phoebe tomorrow the three of us can cuddle on the couch watching movies and fall asleep entangled with each other. That sounds great August.

  I grab a hand of each of my mates. We head over to the pack house. The Luna opens the door for us.

  Phoebe your dad is in his office. He is waiting for you and your mates. Thanks mom, Phoebe says and we head upstairs to meet the Alpha.

  August explains my new vision and all the updated plans set up. He tells him what Alpha Gordon, the chief and Clan leader Fynn all plan to do. That they are all planning and working together. We also tell him of our concerns.

Phoebe then asks if she can tell her dad about the new things happening with us. I nod to her. So dad we all have new abilities that have came from us completing the mating process.

I can freeze things or make time stop. Not like with ice. August can manipulate the wind. Gabe has visions and can control fire.

The Alpha looks at us with wide eyes. You three are truly special. I see great things coming from you.

  Phoebe I wonder if you can control or manipulate earth. What do you mean dad. I heard a story a long time ago about three mates.

Together they controlled earth, wind and fire. They had other abilities also. They each came from different backgrounds and accomplished so much.

That was until they were hunted down by hunters led by a strong witch. They existed over two centuries ago. I believe you can find their story in the history books of our kind in the old library.

  Alpha Max I would be interested in looking into that more sometime. We have many similarities to that story. You really do Gabe. Sometimes history repeats itself. Especially if the task at hand was not accomplished the first time around.

  Maybe we can learn from their story. Thanks for all the information Alpha. August and I need to be heading to work. Phoebe I will see you tonight at dinner. Let's shoot for 6pm.

If anything changes we will call you. Sounds good Gabe. I am going to stay here and visit my family. Ok sweets have fun. August and I each kiss her and head to work.

We meet up with the chief. She tells us there was another break in. This one was on bear territory. About thirty minutes from Harvest moon. The chief thinks they know that I am in the area.

She told me to watch who I share details with. She herself does not know. I am an actual griffin. She just knows I am special, rare and mated to August and Phoebe.

  No one was injured. It was just the same as all the others. They break into the offices. They look through files then seem to vanish. There is never a break in point.

We all came to the inclusion that magic or teleportation of some sort is being used. This obviously complicated things. This gives us another thing to worry about.

  August and I are going to meet up with the Bear shifters clan leader.  The chief informed us his name is Jax Bogart. I am to visit with the children while August meets with Jax.

  We want to get done quickly today. I do not want to keep Phoebe waiting. I really am looking forward to meeting her for dinner tonight. Japanese is one of my favorite types of food.

  The kids were great and none the wiser. Mr. Chet Williams the man in charge of the Orphanage here. Did a good job keeping all the drama from the kids.He did not want to scare them if it was uncalled for.

  We got all the information we needed. We made great time.  We made it to the Japanese restaurant by 5:45pm. August waited with me till Phoebe arrived.

He was taking no chances with leaving me alone even for a minute. I completely understood. I did not mind his constant company.
