~ Chapter 9 ~

Thoma would walk to the locker room the next day, seeing no love letters, he felt at ease. Maybe today was his lucky day!

He left the locker room with his Literature book in hand, walking before a girl grabbed him by the collar and pulled him down, looking furious. Maybe today was just as unfortunate too.

"You monster! I can't believe how big of a dick you are! You seemed so sweet on the outside, but inside, you're just a maniac! Why hasn't the police arrested you yet?!" The girl shouted, catching everyone who was in the hallway's attention. She yelled right in Thoma's ear so he let out a little wince

"What do you mean? I haven't done anything!" He'd try to gesture that he wanted to stand straight again but the girl wouldn't budge, he didn't want to hurt her, especially in the morning.

"So many girls went missing! It was because of you! You kidnapped them because they liked you! You're a horrible monster! We need them back!" The girl shouted again, the same ear.

"I really have no clue of what you're talking about. I didn't kidnap anyone nor do I have the intention to do so." Thoma barely stopped himself from wincing again.

And then, by some miracle, the girl got pushed back, by who?

Oh. Lumine.

"You've got some fucking nerve trying to threaten Thoma-kun without any proper evidence." She'd cross her arms as she stood in front of Thoma,

"Geez, how big of a dumbass are you? Aren't you harassing Thoma-kun for no reason? You should feel ashamed of yourself."

"But- the girls! All of them liked him and the next day, they disappeared!" The girl argued, but obviously felt inferior in front of the other lady here.

"Coincidences exist, for your limited information. Also, Thoma-kun couldn't have possibly harmed anyone, he is literally always in the dorms by the time the girls go missing. How does this check out with you? And, does he really seem like the type of person to do that? He looks like he could barely kill an ant and only if he was forced!"

The opposing girl fell silent, at a loss for words,

"Have you ever given it any slight thought that maybe.. A girl who likes Thoma-kun is getting rid of all of her potential love rivals? Or maybe someone is trying to frame Thoma-kun on purpose? Of course not, because you just want an excuse to make someone go fucking deaf by screaming in their ear." She'd have an aggressive tone to her voice. The girl bowed down, tears leaking down her face and mumbling something like "sorry" before running away, everyone in the hallway turned back to their own business once Lumine shot up a glare at just one of them. She turned towards Thoma,

"Are you alright? Did that bitch actually make you go deaf?"

Thoma fell back from his train of thought and shook his head,
"No, no. It wasn't loud enough. Not when I am used to a certain someone shouting around me all the time."

"Hm, okay. So, You're Thoma-kun. Hm, yeah I see the hype, you are good-looking. But not my type, you're too sweet without anything else covering it." Lumine nodded, taking note to herself.

"Oh, good to know I suppose? Thanks for helping me, Lumine-san." He'd bow down, trying to express his gratitude before Lumine pulled him up in a second,

"I appreciate the gesture but I prefer it from losers, not people like you. You know Ms. Ayaka right? I am actually one of her best friends." She'd feel proud saying that.
