Aria's POV:
I spent 2 hours looking for my so called older brother.
I think he's dead. I actually do there us no way that someone can just evaporate into thin air just like that.
Maybe he really is dead.Again.
I mean that didn't really work well the first time he died now did it?
I guess that was sad. Oh well. That was his problem not mine.
Standing on the top stairs of the stairs in the foyer gave me a very good vantage point to scout if anyone passed to which i'd ask them where Oliver was. It was simple.
I'd already asked the guards that were positioned all around and they just shook their heads at me politely.
I was glad that i'd chosen baggy jeans today, even if i was drowning in them, I could still skillfully run and track him down if he had chosen to be a coward and was simply just hiding from me.
He was going to get another slap for that.
Determination was my middle name. I wasn't going to move from this spot until I found some information. I refuse.
So you can assume just how appalled I felt when 1 hour later I was shaken awake by a very confused looking Queen Of Spades.
"Aria? What on earth are you doing?" Venus looking as spectacular as usual shook me.
"Huh?" I yawned
"Why the hell are you asleep on the top of the stairs?" She asked me
I blinked at her. My brain was clearly not processing the things she was saying. I stretched my arms out infront of me when I lost balance.
I was leant against one of the large pillar like things holding the stairs up, god knows what the fuck their called, anyways so when I reached forwards to stretch my arms I somehow tilted to the right.
It would have all been fine if I had just tilted to the left as there was just floor there. On the right you see, were the stairs.
I saw my sad little life flash before me. When a hand immediately grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled me sharply the other way.
That was enough to wake me up fully.
I looked up to the person who had decided to help me and to say I was shocked was an understatement.
Cardan's Ace. I didn't know his name but he was the one who was always eerily quite.
"Thank you." I breathed out.
"Be careful." Was all he said
He then looked at me carefully, seeing if i was hurt, when he decided that I was alright, he then let go of my hand and gave a slight nod to Venus, excusing himself. That was surprisingly nice of him, even though he seemed like someone who hated all humans.
