Aria's Pov:
He left me. He left me after I begged for him. After I carved my heart for him and screamed at him to wait for me.
And he just trampled all over it and walked away. I guess he wasn't just the leader of the worlds most ruthless mafia for nothing.
So be it then.
I never needed a man before so why was this any different? I was used to being hurt, I knew i couldn't trust him.
I don't need Leo.
I don't need Leo, I want him.
I shook my head. I needed to stop thinking.
I needed to stop feeling like shit. Why the hell did I have to feel like such shit when I wasn't at fault?
I didn't. He was the one who needed to feel like shit.
And i sure as hell was going to make him feel every inch of the pain that was running through e right now.
He should know by now.
I wasn't one to let things go so easily. He would pay. Heavily.
I stopped chucking things randomly into the suitcase that Athena had bought up 10 minuets ago. Today was the day that we were leaving for the Rousseau's after all.
I wondered how Perry was doing.
Persephone Lowell. Aiden's fathers girlfriend.
One of the most kindest souls that I had ever met. She was also breathtakingly beautiful, to the point where I'd look at her in awe. However, just like us Perry was stuck in a cycle of abuse.
She and Philip had the most toxic relationship I had ever seen. She was only allowed in the Rousseau mansion once a week. Sundays, it was.
I don't think she ever realised just how much both Aiden and I looked towards her visits. She would spend hours entertaining our childish games that we wanted.
She'd bring her makeup bag along with her just so that she could give me makeovers. I'd spend hours with her peering over a mirror while she applied blush and lipstick and expertly did my mascara.
I was only 12. Yet her little efforts stuck with me. She tried her hardest to give us the best. Even though sometimes when she visited the mansion she'd have bruises on her face, from Philip.
When Devi joined us a year later, she taught him everything she could. Well as much as she could once a week. Aiden and I tried our best to teach him the rest of the time she wasn't there but due to the fact we were never free, it was hard.
I wondered how she was doing. It was the reason I was so desperate to go to the Rousseau mansion. For her and Aiden.
I then continued shoving things into my suitcase. Essentials and everything.
Once that was done I zipped it up and dragged it off the bed. Well damn, this was sorta heavy.
I sighed as I dragged it out of my room and down the corridor, until I passed Leo's room. A strange sort of throbbing in my heart pulsated.
No.
Stop it Aria. Get a fucking grip.
That was exactly what I did. I pushed it all down. Held my head high and dragged my suitcase past the room.
I didn't need him.
I then got to the stairs. I eyed my suitcase and then looked down the stairs. Well I had 2 options. I could carry it down and struggle or I could push it down and hope that it wouldn't break.
Option 2 sounded better.
So I positioned the suitcase so it was lying down on the floor and pushed it as much as I could to the top step.
"Do you need help?"
I looked down to see Keiji standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking up blankly at me.
"Nope. I suggest you move out of the way though!" I shouted down.
But before I could even finish the last word the suitcase slipped from my grasp. All I've got to say is that I never knew suitcases could fly. The speed that it slid down those steps was extraordinary.
There was also Keiji's speed that was extraordinary. He literally managed to dodge it so well.
"Uh- Sorry?" I called down, sheepishly.
Keiji just sighed.
"Be careful." He warned.
He always seemed to be telling me that. Strange dude.
I looked a him closer, as I walked down the stairs, he was actually pretty handsome. Eyes curved around the edges, his cheek bones high and his light black hair.
I never really noticed since he seemed to have this strange aversion to talking and so went by unnoticed.
Yesterday he seemed a little happy though. I could feel it. He was after all reunited with his family, after a long time, since he lived in Japan with Cardan to look after him and manage the Mafia while Cardan went to school.
I never really noticed it until now but Cardan and Keiji did look alike, like they were actual brothers. I mean after all blood doesn't always make you family and Keiji and Cardan were rather close.
By this time, I'd reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Don't go." I heard him sigh out.
I tilted my head in confusion. Was Keiji really talking to me?
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"My father thinks something bad is going to happen. So it's better if you don't go, for Chase's sake." He quickly added the last bit.
"Cassian Valentino?" I blurted out.
He clenched his jaw, and looked away from me. "Yes."
I probably shouldn't have mentioned it like that, seeing as he is adopted and that to when he was only 15, he must have had another father during those first 15 years.
Suddenly I feel bad for asking in the way I did. It was rather insensitive of me.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have worded it like that. It was rude of me." I awkwardly said.
He then smiled. A faint ghost of one. But I swear I saw it.
"Be careful when you go out there." He pressed.
I nodded insistently. I would. There was just something about the way that he looked at me.
"I'll see you soon." He said with a sense of duty.
"Uh- Yeah....you too!" I answered back.
He was an odd one now wasn't he? I mean I guess i'm flattered that he decided to talk to me but still.
I watched as he shook his head. Then he sighed and walked off. I watched as he left. He seemed...disappointed?
But of what?
"Miss Aria? Sir chase has asked me to escort you to the Plane."
Athena suddenly materialised out of nowhere. I swear its those secret powers. I bet it is those. He flying abilities, or invisibility powers.
I sighed. Eyeing my suitcase.
"Is there anyway that you could carry my suitcase?" I begged.
"$50." She replied.
"Done." I responded immediately.
"Then yes. There is a good chance I can." She smiled at me.
At this rate I was going to go broke so quickly.
