Chapter 2 - Kotarou and Karino

"Ahhm." Ruri was eating pancakes with slices of bananas on top. By her side was milk in a pyramid shaped carton. Today's breakfast was healthy, tasty, and cute. "Feed Nee-chan." She wanted to feed Rio because Rio was skipping breakfast again. Ruri wondered why Rio kept skipping breakfast all while telling Ruri breakfast was the most important meal of the day. Wasn't it hypocritical?

"Ahhm." Rio's eyes were glued to a box that were delivered to her. Why? Because she had just set up a way to possibly earn a steady income if this worked out the way she planned it in her head.

"Nee-chan, what are you doing?" 

"You remember I have this friend who works in a company making business cards? He delivered my first batch of cards for free as a token of our friendship. With this, I can work as a handywoman." 

Ruri looked confused, "But you only have two hands. You need to be like Lakshmi if you want more hands." 

Rio stared at her sister and then she had to search on Gaagle who Lakshmi was. "She even knows about a Hindu Goddess at her age?! Does that mean I am dumber than a four year old?! I feel ashamed." The next thing Rio knew, she heard the doorbell rang. "Coming! It best not be that slob from Room 202..."

She opened the door and a woman with brown hair and a very annoyed expression was here. Rio did not know this woman. "Can I help you?"

"Hi, which room does Karino Shin live in? I can't remember." 

"Definitely not this one. Here, I'll walk you to his place. Ruri, I'll be back in a minute. Stay there and finish your food." 

"Hm!"

Rio walked the woman up the stairs, "So uh...is he your relative or...?"

"I'm his girlfriend." 

'I can't believe that slob have a girlfriend!' What she thought was completely different to what she will say next. "You look annoyed. What did he do?" 

"We're supposed to be on a date and he left me waiting in the cold!" 

"It is pretty cold." Rio pressed for the doorbell of Room 202. "By the way, his room is pretty messy. Just be prepared." 

The moment Karino opened the door, his girlfriend slapped him right across the face! Rio was shocked like Karino was! It took Karino a second to realize he had forgotten to do something important today.

"I can't believe you! We planned to hang out today! I was worried sick about you not showing up but it turned out you were sleeping like the dead this whole time?!" 

"M-my bad."

"Do you have any idea how cold it is today?! I waited forever for you!"

"It-it completely slipped my mind." 

"Huh?!"

Rio was silently warning Karino to stop saying the wrong things. 

"T-that's not what I wanted to say...ah! Work! Right! I was working! I told you I was busy drawing manga, right? The deadline is coming up and I pulled an all-nighter. I'm really sorry, Hiroko-chan."

Rio let out a sigh of relief. He might be a slob but she had to commend his quick thinking skills on the spot. Rio looked at his girlfriend, who was shaking in anger. The next thing Rio knew, his girlfriend slapped his other cheek with her handbag! His girlfriend got even angrier?! Why?!"

 "My name is Hiromi! You idiot!!!!"

Rio closed the door after she entered his room, "Seriously?! How the hell did you confuse Hiromi with Hiroko?!"
