Chapter 26 - Trust 2

Tasuku did not believe Karino was trustworthy so he's gathering evidences of Karino betraying Rio and he's got plenty already to use against the older male. For the past few days and nights, he had been observing Karino's outings without Rio. "Once I show Rio-chan this, she will be annoyed and dump his rusty ass! Hm? Ah! Rio-chan, here! Here! Ruri-chan isn't with you?" 

"She's collecting cans with Kotarou." When the little girl asked Kotarou if he wanted to go to the park and play, Kotarou replied he's going to collect cans to exchange for small change and Ruri thought it sounded fun because she's never done that before so she will be his little helper. 

"What a good little sister you have. Recycle is a good thing~, good to fight against Climate Change~." 

"Yeah, recycling is a good thing, and don't call it Climate Change, it's called the seasons changing and raising our taxes isn't making the air any cleaner. Then, what do you want?" Rio didn't really want to talk to him. She just wanted to go in and prepare to make dinner for Ruri. She's going to make vegetable and rice tamagoyaki for her. She had waited for the tamagoyaki pan she wanted to go on sale and she finally got it for half its original price! She wanted to make use of it! 

"Don't look so impatient~, remember what you said about trusting the uncle next door to Kotarou? What if I tell you I have evidence of him seeing other women behind your back?" In his mind, he was imagining Rio will be angry and using a weapon against Karino. 

"Oh?" Rio looked very amused about it, "Is that so? Let's see them."

"Alright, evidence 1!" Tasuku showed her a picture of Karino going into the hostess club Mizuki worked at with Fukuno. "Look! He even grabbed a friend to go in there with him! He already has you but he still went to see other girls and in such a setting too!" Because he worked at a bar, he's not a stranger when the other half of their customer get angry and jealous over their other half visiting these nightly places. 

Rio pointed at Fukuno in the picture, "The fact his editor is there means they're collecting materials together. Old man can't draw women properly. Looking at my figure is no good. He needs to look at more figures so Fukuno-san took him out."

"Eh?! But he's clearly enjoying his time drinking and talking to the girls! Look! I have more pictures! Here, here, and here too!" 

"If he doesn't talk to the girls, how else will he know how their figure is possible?" 

T-then...this one!" 

"That's the girl who work at the convenience store. Oh, seems like that's her day off. And that bag of peanuts she's holding, it's the same one Ruri had. Old man told me about it so I already know." 

Tasuku frowned; nothing was phasing Rio at all! 

"This one!" 

"That's Sumire. They're holding the leaflet about the change of trash collection. Sumire will not go near him even if they're the last man and woman on Earth to reproduce. She has a lot of pride and she would rather let humanity go extinct than to mate with the old man to continue humanity." Maybe it was a good thing Karino was not there to hear that because she literally destroyed him!

"This one!" This time, it's a picture of Kobayashi talking with Karino.

Rio paused at this one because she had to be careful on what she will say to him; Tasuku did not need to know Kobayashi was researching on his background after he had left the facility; if Rio tell him she knew Kobayashi, it will make Tasuku be more on guard and try to get Kotarou to meet with him privately. Rio's not dumb and she decided to play dumb. "Hm, didn't think he'd be able to meet a woman of this calibre. She seems earnest. Alright, airdrop me a picture and I'll do something about him."
