Recently, Rio noticed Ruri had been bringing in containers containing leftovers from dinner time. Ruri kept saying she couldn't eat it all at once so she will microwave it later to it. There's no problem with it at first but each day went on and Rio noticed the increase of amount bit by bit. Today, the box container was filled to the brim.
"Ruri, did you eat lunch today?"
"I did."
"Then what's with this leftover?"
"I couldn't finish it."
Rio looked defeated for a moment there because Ruri had a point; she wouldn't call it leftover if it wasn't leftover in the first place. "I-I see. Ruri, step on the weight for me, will you?"
"Okay~!"
Rio thought Ruri may have gained weight but she had not. Ruri's weight was that of a normal kindergartener. "Okay, I was stupid for even checking the weight. You would have played and run off all the calories.
"Am I a good girl?"
"Yep, you're always a good girl."
"Hm, but I kind of don't wanna eat the leftovers."
"Why not?"
"I have it every day in school. I like it but I feel tired seeing it."
"I don't blame you. Taste-wise, it's not a child's favorite. It's healthy though. Wanna eat out at a family restaurant-" Rio could have sworn she saw her sister get herself ready in a matter of seconds. Did her little sister just break the world record of putting her coat on all by herself? "The buttons are put in the wrong holes.
"Ah, what about the leftovers? Wasteful..."
"It's probably best not to leave it another day, huh? Hm..." Rio had an idea. She told her sister to wait for her. She grabbed the leftover container and she knocked on for Karino. "Old man."
Karino opened the door and he was working on his manga as usual. "Yeah?"
"Here, dinner."
"Woah! You made this for me?! Woo hoo! Dinner sorted~!"
'I should probably keep quiet about the fact they are leftovers from the kindergarten so they've probably been touched by many hands and mouths of the children- but he doesn't need to know that. Besides, he's getting a free meal- I didn't need to give it to him but I still gave it to him out of the kindness of my heart so all of his rights to complain are officially out of the window. If he tries to bring anything up about it and argue with me, I will be ready for him!' She looked very serious when she thought of all that just then.
"Rio, you're making a serious face. Do you want me to eat this or not? Also, should I wash the container and give it back to you?" Karino wondered what she was thinking about. 'She looked as if she's ready to have a verbal battle with me...' He thought to himself.
"Please do."

On the way to kindergarten, Karino and Rio were walking the kids.
Karino decided to make a comment about Kotarou's weight again. "Hey, are you not running around or something kid? You'll end up fatter and fatter at this rate. You should be doing what Ruri is doing."
"Whee~!" But Ruri was holding Rio's hand and she pretend she was a monkey.
"You want me to monkey around?" Kotarou asked.
