"Papi, is it true if you put skittles into a frying pan with kernels, it makes rainbow popcorn?"

"It doesn't, my dear little Ruri-chan. It becomes disgusting and you will burn the sugar." Tamaru was watching over Ruri for the night because he's babysitting the young girl while Rio was out working. It's not a daytime friendly job so Tamaru was here to help her out with taking care of Ruri. "You must have seen that on MeTube, right?" He's cooking right now and Ruri offered to help but Tamaru said her talking to him from the table was helping him to keep focused.

"Yeah!"

"You shouldn't believe everything you see on the internet. Times have certainly changed. Back in my day, we didn't have access to the internet. And eventually when we did, we were all very careful and try to stay anoynymous." As he sliced the radishes, he was ranting angrily in a comical manner. "Kids these days don't even know how to stay safe on the internet. They go around putting their personal details onto social media for everyone to see and then they act surprised why people can find them and hurt them. Yeah, that's a good idea- tell everyone your age, that'd REALLY stop pedos from after you. That's REALLY going to stop that pedophile from making a fake account to socialize with you. Stupid kids."

"Papi's ranting is funny. I'd like to have popcorns while listening to him." Ruri had no idea what he's ranting about but she found it funny because the face he's making was judging all the dumb teenagers who couldn't even protect themselves on the internet.

"Ah, but my dear Ruri-chan, make sure you stay away from the internet until you are older, okay?"

"Okay~! By the way, Papi, why won't Nee-chan let me go with her to her workplace? One time we went to the Mafuyu family to do chores, she let me go with her."

"Ah...that..." How should he explain to her? "You see, Ruri-chan, there are adult only establishments and kids shouldn't go there."

"I get it! That means I am too young!"

"That's my smart little Ruri-chan!"

"How do I get older?!" She's very curious about what job Rio took! She wanted to know! "Do I do old people stuff like complain my back hurts and wanting more sleep?"

"We do that but no, that's not what I mean..."

Ruri sniffed the air and she gasped! "Miso soup!"

"Oh? You can tell? I'm grilling fish too."

"Yay~! Oh! It's mackerel! It tastes better if you grill it with coal."

"As expected of Ruri-chan! You're a food expert! So cute! And yes, it does taste good grilled with coal. I go fishing sometimes with some pals. How about I catch lots of fish and treat everyone one day? We'll grill it outside with coal."

"Yay! Yay!"

"Ah, but I'll need permission from the Landlord first. Don't want them getting nitpicky with me."

"That's okay, Papi can just stare them down like this." She made her chin stick out and she looked down as menacing as she could.

"Ruri-chan is so cute and funny!" 'Is that how she sees me? Do I do that?' He thought to himself. "Ah, but you shouldn't glare down at people to get your own way."

"Why not? Papi do that all the time. You stare down at Shin-chan to make him heed to you."

"Ah..." He couldn't deny that. "This and that are different."

"I think I get it."

Dinner was ready. A simple Japanese meal; a grilled mackerel, a bowl of fluffy rice, miso soup, stir-fried tomato and scrambled eggs, and a small bowl of salad.
