Chapter Six

Adrien

Me and Annie were sat in the dining room eating breakfast before school. Her phone lit up with a notification, something from Marinette. We sat in comfortable silence before I broke it.

"Have you made a lot of friends since we've gone to school? Except me, of course" I asked curiously.

"Funny" Annie said with a straight face.
"Anyway, I mean I've spoken to the majority of our class but most of them are quite annoying I'm not going to lie"

"But I do quite like Alya and Marinette, they're sweet" She spoke.

Anastasia Emerys was not the type to take a liking to nor speak to many people that she didn't know, she has been like that since I can remember, if anyone's liked by Annie they should consider themselves lucky. Of course, I do.

"Well that's good then, I've spoken to them a bit, they seem nice" I told her.

Anastasia

It was second period and we had science with Miss Mendeleiev, probably my worst subject may I add, and she was announcing the groups for the project we were to do.

"Adrien, Anastasia, Nino, Alya"

"So lucky!" Marinette stated with a frown.

"It's fine M, you could still get put with one of the other girls" I smiled at her.

"Yeah but you two are with Adrien-" She immediately stopped talking when she realised who she was talking to.

"Why does it matter if we're with Adrien?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"Girl just tell her, she's a part of the group now, she won't tell anyone we can trust her" Alya calmed her friend down.

Marinette sighed, "Fine, I-I really like Adrien. Like a lot." She said while her cheeks were turning pink.

I'm not entirely sure why but hearing those words made my heart ache a little bit, my face immediately turned into a frown.

"Everything okay Annie?" Alya quickly asked when I didn't answer.

"Oh yeah sorry I got distracted, what were you saying?"

"That Marinette has a crush on Adrien?"

"Oh..yeah, right. Yeah of course I won't tell anyone, not even him" I stated with a forced smile.

"You're the best Annie!! Thank you" Marinette said excitedly.

I gave her a smile.

"Chloé, Sabrina, Kim and Marinette" Miss Mendeleiev read out.

"So unlucky" Alya and I giggled.

Marinette

After I told Annie about my crush I couldn't help but notice her reaction. Her somewhat smile turned into a frown and she zoned out, surely she doesn't-, I stopped that thought before it could even come across my mind. There is no way she likes Adrien, they grew up with each other, they are probably more like siblings to each other. She must have just zoned out about something else, it still didn't just quite leave my mind though.

Anastasia

All day I couldn't stop thinking about what Marinette had told me. It was like this pit in my stomach I couldn't shake. Marinette was so lovely so of course I wasn't going to hate her for it, besides, let's just say she doesn't seem like the type of girl to pour her heart out to the guy she likes.

Suddenly, an akuma alert shook me out of my thoughts.

"Tala, paws out"

I jumped off the balcony and joined the action alongside Chat Noir and Ladybug.

Turns out it was a villain called the Evilustrator, it was Nathaniel and ironically enough he was in love with Marinette.

I used my invisibility, Chat his catcyclysm and Ladybug her lucky charm and captured his akuma and called miraculous ladybug blablabla, the usual.

As I was about to use my bow to get away a hand took a hold of my wrist.

"Louve Blanc, wait" It was Chat Noir.

I was a bit confused, what possibly could he want?

"I was wondering if you could meet me tonight?"

He what?

"I, uh- what?" I asked very confused.

"We spend so much time together saving the world why can't we spend time beside just doing that?" He smiled.

"What like a-date?" I hesitated.

"You could call it that"

"Um I don't know..maybe? I'm a very busy girl you know" I giggled.

"Well I'll see you later then m'lady" He charmed.

"Don't get your hopes up!" I shouted at him as he left.
