Chapter Forty-Three

Anastasia

At lunch, Adrien left for a photoshoot and never came back for the last two periods, it wasn't often for him to have longer shoots but it did happen.

The day went by quite quickly before I got picked up and got back home, got changed and headed back out.

Me and Alya were going round Marinette's for a while, I had nothing else to do and she invited me, funnily enough she didn't cancel this time.

"Oh guys I forgot to tell you, I started talking to someone new" Marinette spoke up.

"Oh really? Who is it?" I asked her.

"It's Luka, I'm pretty sure he kinda likes me, but I was too stuck up on Adrien to notice" She slightly laughed.

"Does that mean you're over him?" Alya asked.

"Well since he told me he didn't love me back yesterday, I've been doing some thinking and I can't be stuck up on him forever, it will just cause me more pain" Marinette said.

"That's good then, because I kinda need to tell you something M" I sighed.

"Did he confess to you?" She guessed.

"What-how did you know?" I asked, stunned that she knew.

"When I told him he told me he's in love with someone else I just knew it was you" She noticed the worried look on my face, "It's fine Annie, I'm surprisingly really happy for you" Marinette smiled.

"Thank you Marinette"

The three of us spoke for hours and went down to her bakery to eat, many times. Then it was time for me to head home. I said my goodbyes to Alya and Marinette and left.

By the time I got home it was pitch black outside.

I didn't see Adrien anywhere so I started to make my way up to my room when I saw a few white rose petals in front of my door, just then, I got a text, from Adrien.

Follow them :)

I opened the door and walked in and all of the petals led to the spiral staircase, I followed them and more appeared leading to my balcony.

My heart started racing as I approached the door to the balcony, I had no idea what to expect, although, a part of me did.

I slowly opened the door and walked out to feel the cold breeze against my face.

There were a few lit candles around and the white petals sprinkled around, it was beautiful.

The moon was full and high up in perfect view up in the sky, I looked up at it before looking back down and saw Adrien stood there smiling up at me.

"Adrien? What is this?" I asked him while looking around in awe.

"It's for you"

"For me?" I questioned.

"Anastasia, you are one of the most amazing girls I've ever met and fuck am I so happy I did, we were just children, there was no love at first sight. I didn't think much of it, you meet so many people throughout your lifetime, but I found my eyes lingering on your face for longer than normal. My heart must've known before my mind, but I had a feeling that you were something important to me from the day we met. I guess you could say I never believed in destiny but maybe now I believe in fate, because of you, and god I'am so in love you Annie"

I could feel my smile growing on my face with every word that was coming out of his mouth.

"So that just leaves me with the last question, Anastasia, will you do me the pleasure of being my girlfriend?" Adrien finally asked.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend Adrien Agreste, I love you"

And with a wrapped my arms around him and kissed him.

After a moment I pulled away and just admired his smile for a bit. I couldn't believe I was so lucky to have this boy in my life, he's done nothing but bring me so much joy and I loved him for it.

So I kissed him, again.
