Chapter Thirty-Two

Adrien

After I came home and saw Annie and her friend Charlie, I had an uneasy feeling.

Annie was being off with me and I couldn't figure out why, until I did.

Flashback
I was with my friends in Marinette's bakery, we were all talking and having a good time, a part of me did feel guilty for not telling Annie where I was going and for being here at all, but Marinette invited me, I couldn't say no and I didn't want to make Annie upset by telling her.

Just before we were going to leave the bakery and go out I turned to the window and saw a glimpse of very familiar dirty-blonde hair.

I shook it off, it couldn't of been her, could it?

End of flashback

Fuck, it was Annie that I saw.

Of course she's annoyed at me, she basically told me Marinette lied to her about the whole thing being cancelled and I went, without even telling her.

God I'm an idiot.

A few hours went by and it was now 7pm.

I decided to go to Annie's room and apologise to her.

I knocked on the door waiting for a response. Charlie opened the door and Annie was nowhere to be seen.

"Adrien?"

"Uh hi, I wanted to speak to Annie, where is she?" I asked her.

"Yeah we were just up on the balcony, she's up there, I'll wait down here" Charlie told me.

"Okay, thanks"

I headed up and saw Annie sat on a chair on her balcony.

I knocked on the open door causing her to turn her head, then turn it right back around when she saw it was me.

"Can I talk to you?"

"Go on then" Annie replied.

"Look, I'm really sorry, I know I pissed you off-" I started.

"You think? Adrien you saw how upset I was over the whole thing, and you couldn't even tell me you were hanging out with them, I wouldn't even be this pissed off if you did" She said while standing up and turning around to look at me.

"I know, I know I should've, I don't even know why I didn't, I felt bad the entire time" I told her.

"Right" She replied.

"I did try to ask Mari why you wasn't there but she didn't give me much of an answer, just started stuttering and stuff, you know the usual" I chuckled.

"And you felt the need to tell me that because?" She said bitterly.

"Fine if you're going to be like that, you know what? I'm not sorry, I just wanted to go out with my friends and I didn't tell you because I knew this is exactly how you'd react and I didn't want to deal with you, you always do this and for what? To make me feel bad? Well I don't, this is one of the first times I've had a good time with my friends in ages, without you ruining it, every single goddamn time, I've had enough of it" I finished with a breath.

I had no idea what came over me, I was just so annoyed.

She looked at me with tears and shock in her eyes that I would even say something like that, that's when I knew I fucked up.

"Wait shit, I didn't mean that-Annie"

"No please, don't stop on my account" She croaked.

I didn't know what to say.

"Just get out, fucking get out" She spat.

"Interrupting anything?" Charlie's voice startled the both of us.

"Not at all, Adrien was just leaving" Annie smiled at the girl as I walked past her and out the room.

"What the fuck happened?" I heard Charlie ask Annie as I was walking down the stairs.

I stopped and breathed once I got out of her room.

What the fuck have I done?
