God, I have a question for you.
Is there a big lesson here
Or some sort of blessing
Deep in these floods of tears?
Is it hidden behind
All the raging storm clouds,
Or is it within the quiet
Echoes of my house?
Is it in the midst of the thoughts
That feel like a deep sea?
Is it in the middle of the fog
That spreads feelings of anxiety?
Is it up in the mountains,
Where heaven's up in the sky?
Is it within the days
That blur and pass us by?
Did Noah feel like this
When he was on the Ark?
Was he trying to find a piece of bliss
In the ever-growing dark?
God, I don't want my hope to die completely,
And I know there are things that only You know,
So could you tell me when I'm ready?
Please?
Okay, maybe I had multiple questions,
But can You blame me?
It's You that I'm connecting
With, and You're universal mystery.
But I do know you're right here and everywhere,
And You'll never leave me.
