-Gweneria Sol-
I've forgotten what it's like to love. To be loved. To feel safe. To have what most normal people have.
I know I can never be the ordinary type to have those luxuries.
Allow me to introduce my sorry excuse for a life.
Narteria is the main city in the country of Enaldra. I think it was once a nice city, but a hundred years ago an old greedy bastard ruined everything for stupid horse shit reasons and nuclear war began. The city has been rebuilt in the last few decades, but everyone and everything was affected by the fallout and radiation. Birth mutations created new species of what once were humans. Everyone is a new type of normal. The last humans died off and no one has heard or seen one in 50 years. Our society has gone backwards with some modernization. The clothes have changed, the way some speak has changed, it's a mix of medieval modernness.
I'm what you call a Celestan. My super dead father was a Marnyl, and my super dead mother was a Deevith. I'll touch base on that story later.
Other cliché species existed before the radiation, like vampires, wolves, faes ect..., but the species after the radiation include: Daenons, Deeviths, Marnyls, Zyconians, and Celestans. Each species is hardwired a certain way. They're all unique, but born with the same certain characteristics.
Daenons are blue in flesh with sharp transparent wings. They spend most of their time in the sky. They are spiritual and tend to speak in few words. Their way of life is simple. They don't really associate with others, they keep to the skies or forests. Very much loners. They aren't mean per say, but they're not going to go out of their way to be nice to you.
Deeviths are green in flesh with a single white crystal embedded on each temple. Typically, they are strong willed, calculated, blunt and don't sugar coat anything. Almost stoic, but once you get to know them they can be charismatic. Their combat skills are unmatched. Training for their young begins at the age of 10. They live in the deserts, and can withstand very hot temperatures.
Marnyls are pale purple in flesh. They have bright white or gray eyes. They have the kindest hearts and do not participate in any kind of violence. They help other species when needed and don't ask for anything. They are too nice. They live in the country and stay on farms.
Zyconians are red or pink in flesh with sharp canines. They have short tempers, and come across very bossy. They are stereotyped as being sly and cunning and hate being told what to do. Most of their species lives in the colder climates.
Celestans skin is the most similar to human flesh. Our purple eyes usually give us away and most have yellow specs. We're born with tattoo-like scars randomly placed on our face or body. It's in our nature to be just and honest. Every generation, a High Priestess is born to preside over our species. Born with great power, they silently keep the peace within the Celestans. Our High Priestess's would help keep order for other species as well, until they were almost killed off in the war against the Velacara's. The Velacara's; the Royal Zyconian family, feared the people of Enaldra would overthrow them to have our High Priestess rule instead. They committed genocide in hopes that another priestess couldn't be born. No Celestans, no High Priestess, no threat to their ruling.
Cue my parent's death. They died fighting with the Celestans. Their closest friends were Celestans, so they couldn't stand by and just watch. My mother was headstrong warrior. My father was too nice for his own good, always wanting to help any way he could. I was 15 when I lost them. I had a good childhood, but I use humor to cope. It may come off like I don't care, but they were the most important people in my life. They were all I had. I'm 23 now and I have no one and I never will. All because of scum like the Velacara's.

Fantasy"Gweneria." Arowin's deep voice bounced off the walls forcing everyone to flinch by the sheer volume. My demeanor never changed. I won't roll over like a dog for him. Glaring straight into his golden eyes I smirked. "It seems you're late to the part...
