-Arowin-

A whore? A whore. My Gwen was not a whore. Rage seeped out of every particle of my being as Father sat there and disrespected what's mine.

All I could feel was anger. Anger towards Father. Anger towards Zinni. Anger towards Gwen. Why couldn't she feel what I felt? Why couldn't she accept our fate?

Keerly stormed into my room, but I was too angry to give any acknowledgement .

"Did you know?" His sharp voice cut through my rampant thoughts.

"Know what?" I spit in anger.

"Did you know about Zinni!" He yelled.

Slowly, I turned towards him. "Watch your tone." I threatened darkly.

"Did you know what was done to her!" He snapped.

Yes. Yes I knew. As a child myself, I couldn't control Father's methods of teaching. I hated myself for what he forced me to do, but I couldn't disappoint him. The fear of being disowned outweighed saving her from punishment. I apologized then, and she understood my predicament. I'd never gotten inside her head since, until she betrayed me. She brought it upon herself.

"You— you knew! Didn't you?" He stepped towards me with an accusatory tone.

"Control your outburst before I control it for you." I threatened again. Furious by his disrespect.

He scoffed and paced away from me.

"We're all we have, Arow. We're supposed to look out for each other! If this hex or infection remains, Zinni is all you'll have. You can't let your pride ruin everything." He said with exasperation.

"You will be cured." I snapped back.

"Gwen is gone. If she does come back it won't be to heal me." He said as if it were obvious.

"We're going to find her. Tonight." I said decidedly.

"Brother. Come on. Her mind is blocked from me. I can't find her even if I wanted to." He disputed.

"You can't. But I can. I'm her divine. I should be able to sense her. I can find her. I know I can." I said, determined.

Gwen doesn't believe in our connection. She thought she could turn it off like a switch. I'll prove her wrong. I'll find a way. I know there's a way to find her. Divine love was ancient, but powerful.

"Sense her?" Keerly questioned.

"We're leaving." I commanded.

"Stop." He halted my movements. "I'm not following you blindly anymore. We see where that got me." He gestured to his body. "Tell me what your plan is?"

I glared at him. "Her house. She probably went back after leaving here."

"And then what?" He asked irritably.

"I'll know once I'm there." I spit and stormed past him.

I heard his signature scoff, then eventually his steps trekked behind mine.

The drive to Gwen's felt almost instant as I wasted no time.

Storming inside, I found everything the way I left it. Walking around I felt something. Something off. I knew Gwen had been here. I could sense it. Like a fragrance lingering in the air. It was warm and sweet. Not floral. But there was something else foreign. It was blocking Gwen's scent. It would come and then it would go.
