-Gweneria Sol-
A couple days went by since his confession. We've been spending time together, getting more comfortable with each other. Learning our personalities and quirks. Likes and dislikes. It wasn't too hard for him to guess my favorite drink... We reminisced about our first meeting, and me accusing him of being a drink murderer. It's funny now, but I was quite upset at that moment. He still makes small threats, but I've learned to redirect the situation when he starts being a dickhead.
He still hasn't opened up about why he's hiding. We've been having relaxed conversations. I don't want to soil it by asking again. I mean, the last time I inquired he told me to never ask again or else. I don't know if I want to know what 'else' means?
It's different now though, right? He's a completely different person, since we've met. We've been intimate, and spent quality time together without biting each other's heads off. Would it still be as important to keep from me?
If I asked and he didn't seem mad, then he could just tell me and we could move on from it. If he does get mad, what if I've just erased all the progress we've made over the last couple of days.
Deciding to just test the waters, I go to find him and see what he's doing. Finding him sitting at the island in the kitchen, I see he's doing something on his phone. Which is strange, since neither of us have really been on our phones. I don't really have friends or family so there's not much for me to do with a phone.
Walking up behind him, I stealthily stood over his shoulder trying to spy on him. He looked like he's texting, but his screen is so dim I couldn't make out the texts. To my surprise, he swiftly turned in his chair, startling me as I staggered back. Holding my arms behind my back, I rocked on my heels innocently.
"Hey! I just... got here! Um, so what you up to!?"
His face clearly displayed he didn't believe anything I just said. Rolling his eyes he yanked my arm, so I'm standing in between his legs.
"Why do you insist on lying to me?" He eyed me, with an unreadable expression.
"Whaaat? No, I really did just get here!" I said, trying my best to avoid his glaring eyes.
"Really? Seems to me like you were being a dirty little eavesdropper." He stated matter of factly while gripping my chin, forcing me to look at him.
"I didn't see anything anyways!" I rolled my eyes. "Why do you still have to be so secretive? Aren't we okay now?" I whined.
Sure, whatever. I was being nosy, but it's not my fault he's so secretive. I liked to be in the know.
"Yes. We've had an enjoyable time. That doesn't mean you can invade others' privacy. And don't roll your eyes at me, Gwen." He warned.
"What's so private? I mean I respect your privacy as long as it doesn't involve me." I said stingily, while ignoring his growing attitude.
Sighing he pulled me onto his lap with my legs hanging sideways. I felt like a child compared to his stature.
"I was talking to my sister. She's the only one I've talked to since my... excursion."
I raised my eyebrow in suspicion.
"Excursion?" I questioned.
"I took a few days off from... royal duties. I needed a break." He said.
"Riiight." I exaggerated. "Since when are royals allowed 'a day off'?"
"I'm to be king. I can take off whenever I please." He stated sternly.
