-Gwen-

It was night and everyone had already headed to bed. None of the guys spoke to me. They avoided my gaze still. I understood their feelings to an extent. I had grown an attachment to all of them. Which is why I was willing to sacrifice myself if it came to it.

"Coming to bed?" Fran asked. She had given me a pitied smile before heading to our room.

Something was still unsettled within me. It felt... off. Something about the way Arowin just gave up. Surely he was more than capable of fighting back even without his sight. Why did he do that?

Something wasn't right.

As quietly as I could, I opened the front door and cloaked myself before I stepped outside. I didn't want any disruptions or opposition from anyone. They're already mad at me enough.

Walking into base it was virtually empty, aside from those on watch. I didn't exactly know where they were holding Arowin, so I decided to take Arowin's words into account. He said he could sense me when he wanted to. Which meant I could too. I closed my eyes and focused on him. I pictured his eyes, his hands, the way he smelled. After a few moments my eyes shot open. An aroma lingered in the air. I knew it was Arowin. I shamefully winced. I didn't want to associate good smells with him. He shouldn't smell good. He should smell bad, because he's bad. He should smell like shit.

Following the scent down a few flights of stairs I had to morph through multiple stone doors. I wondered why they were stone doors instead of metal? The next door I morphed through I discovered Arowin in the center of a room. His wrists were chained above his head and his feet just barely touched the ground. He stared straight ahead with no emotions.

"I was wondering when you would come to me." His resonant voice startled me.

Walking over, I stood a few feet away from him. With the relaxed way he stood, he obviously wasn't affected by his position.

"Why didn't you fight?" I asked.

He quirked a brow and chuckled. "So you would have preferred if I killed them?" He asked.

Though he still didn't have his sight, he was looking straight into my eyes. It was unnerving.

"That's not what I meant. You let them take you." I snapped. "Why?"

"Hmm, unfortunately I don't want to answer your questions baby girl." He smirked.

"You will not hurt anyone here." I ordered.

"I will do what I please. You've caused a lot of trouble." His tone turned dark. "I think it would be a good learning exercise. When you disobey me, there will be consequences. Besides, these people are hiding like snakes and plotting. I'm sure they've been plotting to kill my family for years. That's reason enough to kill them." He said nonchalantly.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "You are fucking unbelievable."

"You caused this, Gwen. If you had submitted from the beginning we wouldn't be here." He gritted out.

"I caused this? I caused this?!" I shouted inching closer and closer to him until I stood directly in front of him.

His height still towered over me, but I glared up into his blind eyes with intensity. Even though he couldn't see me, I wanted him to sense my anger.

"You and your family are the cause. You're all to blame for everything! How could you sit there and tell me how you knew your father fucked up and that you would try to make things right, but then you act like this?!" I screamed at him.
