Attention readers!
For some reason, all the italics and such has disappeared or...something -.- I'm pretty pissed off about that but no matter, I'll go over the story again and try to return the italics :/
So I'm sorry about that, but it's a minor problem I guess. So for now, please enjoy the story! ^_^

"Just go, don't worry about me, Charlie."
"No! I'm not leaving you here!"
"Shh, I'll be fine...I promise. Just run."
Sophia slowly opened her eyes to find herself floating in mid-air. She looked up and saw the moon, looming silently in the dark sky. She suddenly felt safe. All her fear slowly washed away as she stared into the bright orb in the sky. She jumped when her bare feet touched the ground. She balanced herself and stood upright. The floor felt different. It was slippery. She took a step and almost fell, it was like walking on a waterbed. The grass beneath her feet felt like it was spreading out between each step. She put her hand on a tree to steady herself. There was a small puddle on the pathway just in front of her. She slowly waddled toward it and kneeled down to stare at her reflection. She didn't recognise her dark eyes, black lips and black and white hair. She was wearing a white dress which almost matched the shade of her skin. She was so pale. She touched her face and blinked, trying to capture any memory before just now. She remembered a boy, around the age of 7. 8 maybe. His name was Charlie. He had jet black hair and freckles spread across his cheeks which were held up by a big grin.
"Charlie..." she whispered. Her voice made her remember more. Charlie was rather close to her.
"Now I remember. Charlie is my little brother."
She turned around and stared up at a big mansion. She smiled and waddled towards the door. She began to get used to walking by the time she got there.
"How did I end up in the garden?" She thought to herself.
"Mom! Dad, I'm home!" She called, knocking on the wide, wooden door. "Hello?" She called. She looked through the letterbox. No one was in the hallway. She leaned on the door but ended up falling straight through it. She gasped in alarm as she crashed to the wooden floors of the hallway. She stood up quickly and stared at the door which hadn't moved an inch. She shook her head and walked along the hallway. She looked at the decorated walls and paintings of their family. She saw herself there. Her eyes were a pale blue and her hair was black and glossy. Her skin was a light shade of pink and she had a big smile.
She suddenly realised that the reflection she saw in the puddle looked nothing like that. Her eyes were a dark shade of purple which were clouded by black shadows around each eye. The outside of her hair was white while the strands inside were black. She was quite confused. She traveled up the stairway towards her brother's room. As she took a step, her foot never landed, instead she was carried up into the air.
"Woah!" She exclaimed.
She waved her arms trying to steady herself. Then she caught the rail and pulled herself back down.
"This is so weird...what's happened to me...?" She whispered.
When she reached her brother's room, she found her brother laying awake in bed and her parent's kneeling beside him. Her mother was comforting him by stroking his hair.
"Shh, it's alright, love. Just go back to sleep, it was only a nightmare." She soothed.
Sophia looked at the clock. It was 2 am.
"Mom, some weird things are happening to me, I just woke up in the garden and when I came knocking no one answered, and then I just fell straight through the door!" She babbled.
Her mother continued to sooth her brother. She wasn't taking any notice of her. Sophia raised an eyebrow and leaped over to her.
"Mom, hellooo? Did you hear what I just said? I fell through the door! And a few minuets ago, on the stairway, I was floating!" She continued.
"I really miss her mom..." Charlie whimpered.
"I know sweety." His mother whispered.
"We all do." His father joined. "Don't worry my son. Sophia will always be here, in our hearts."
"Huh?" Sophia was very confused. "What are you talking about, Dad? Im right here."
Her parents stood up and they both kissed Charlie's forehead. Then they headed for the door. Sophia jumped in front of them.
"Mom? Dad? What's going on, what's are you talking abou-" she suddenly gasped as they both walked straight through her. She put her hand to her chest and followed them. "Mom!? Dad!? What's going on!? Can't you see me...?" She exclaimed. They continued walking as if they never heard a thing.
Her breathing increased. She turned around and ran back to her brother's room.
"Charlie...? Charlie, can you hear me!?" She went to touch him but her hand went straight through him. She gasped as her eyes brimmed with tears. "They...they can't see me..." She whimpered.
Then she suddenly remembered what the moon had told her.
"You are The Friendly Ghost."
She walked over to the window and stared at the moon. She sniffed and covered her face, hiding her tears.
