Friendly had been staying at North's workshop for around 2 weeks now. Even though she had no need for sleep, he gave her a room. He gave her one opposite Jack's. Since Jack's only home was the lake he had fallen in before he was Jack Frost, North offered a room to him and said that he could stay as long as he liked. He'd been living at the pole ever since he became a guardian.

Friendly never dared enter his room. Even though she had gotten used to the climate and Jack's cold touch, her pale skin was still too vulnerable to the temperature of his quarters.

She enjoyed the workshop very much. He had befriended most of the yetis and even the elves were fond of her. She felt like she had a home. She felt like she had a family.

Her and Tooth had gotten pretty close. As in personal space close. She still couldn't get used to Tooth hovering 2 inches from her face as she spoke to her. Even so, they were good friends. The baby teeth often hovered around her, playing with her black and white hair. To Friendly, the baby teeth were adorable and she enjoyed their company.

Her and Sandman had long convocations using sign language. Sandman shared many stories of his past with her which she loved every minute of. She even kindly translated for the other guardians who were interested. The guardians were glad that they could understand Sandman better with Friendly around.

Bunnymund was kind to her but usually tormented her and Jack when he caught them together. Poor Jack was so embarrassed of his remarks but he always had a come-back. These come-backs usually started arguments which were very entertaining to Friendly. She couldn't help but laugh as they name-called each other back and forth. Bunnymund and Jack were like brothers and Friendly knew that they would never get into a real fight.

Friendly and Jack - they were practically best friends. Jack took her out in the snow to have snowball fights almost every day. He didn't take her to see Jamie again though as the children still couldn't see her and it made her upset. Jack hated seeing her upset, so he went on his occasional visits to Jamie alone.

They tried to discover more about Friendly's purpose most of the time. She refused to take the oath until she at least knew what her purpose was otherwise she wouldn't feel like a real guardian. Friendly wasn't even sure she wanted the responsibility of a guardian. Mainly because she was scared she would mess up.

But mostly, day after day, Friendly became less and less afraid. Her real personality began to shine through that shy, fearful girl the guardians first met. They discovered that Friendly was adventurous, caring, energetic, tough and filled with curiosity. But even so, they still didn't know what her centre was.

The man in the moon chose her to be a guardian for a reason. A reason that was very hard to discover. Friendly questioned the man in the moon almost every night about it, but he never replied to her as usual.

They came to the conclusion that her singing chases away fear, but Friendly continued to disagree. It just didn't add up. If her singing chases away fear, then why did she still feel fear when she sung? It just didn't seem right.

Friendly was sitting on a windowsill, hugging her knees to her chest. She fiddled with the buckles on her knee high black boots as she sighed heavily, deep in thought. Jack walked past and saw her sitting there. He walked up to her and sat opposite her.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asks.

Friendly just shrugs and continues to stare out of the window into the white blizzard taking place. Jack had accidentally gone a little overboard earlier after an argument with Bunnymund.

Jack tilted his head trying to find purple eyes through strands of white hair. "You look...I dunno, depressed." He imitated her by pulling his knees to his chest and pulling a miserable face.
