PLEASE READ: This chapter contains blood, foul language and torture. It's quite mean and sickening so if you're below the age of 13 or don't like that kind of stuff, I suggest you skip to the part where they fall into the ditch. I will put this: *** above that area. There will still be blood after that though but you need to read it to understand.
Thanks :)

The wave of light slowly circled the dark hole in the ground. Friendly landed gently in the snow and stepped slowly towards it. She stopped at the edge and peered down into it, shuddering at the cool breeze that brushed past and took a deep breath, tightening her grip on Jack's staff.
She looked at Light who wrapped itself around her shoulders and neck in a gentle embrace. She sighed heavily and ran her hand through it. Then she gently pushed it away and gave it a stern look.
Who knows what Pitch had planned for her down there. Jack had told her all about him and he seemed pretty desperate to get his hands on fear. She didn't want to think about it much as she didn't want to turn and fly away.
Before she could do anything stupid, she jumped down into the hole.
She landed quietly at the bottom of the hole and tip-toed into the large cave. As she quietly made her way into the centre of the cave, Light curled up in her free hand and formed into the white blade. She was glad to have Light at her side again. Without Light, she wouldn't have had the courage to even think about coming here.
Friendly was rescuing Jack no matter how difficult it would be. If Pitch had done anything to hurt him, he was in for it.
"Jack?" She whispered.
Jack, who was sitting in the corner of a dark room, jerked his head up at the sound of Friendly's voice. It was quiet enough for him to think he had imagined it, so he waited.
Friendly listened intensely but heard nothing. "Jack?" She repeats, a little louder.
Jack knew he wasn't imagining it this time. "Friendly?" He calls, quietly.
Friendly quickly followed the voice and found Jack standing in a room behind black bars. She immediately phased through them and threw herself into Jack's arms.
"Jack! Oh thank god...are you alright? Are you hurt?" She gasps when she sees the gash in his cheek.
Jack takes her hand away from it. "It's fine, I'm alright." He says. Then he pushes her away and holds her by the shoulders. "But you have to get out of here! Pitch is-"
They were suddenly consumed by darkness. Friendly immediately let the black sand phase through her. She felt around for Jack but he wasn't there.
When the darkness had disappeared, Friendly still had Jack's staff in her grip but Jack was gone. She heard a laugh and ran out of the room through the now broken black bars into the centre of the lair. She saw Pitch holding Jack by his neck a few floors up. Jack struggled between his grip but couldn't break free.
"So, you decided to come and save him, oh isn't that precious?" Pitch taunted.
All Friendly could do is glare at him, baring her teeth.
Pitch pulled a disgusted face. "It seems you've...changed."
"That's right, I have. I'm not afraid of you anymore, Pitch. So there's no point in keeping Jack here." Friendly snaps back.
"On the contrary, my dear girl. You see, you may not be afraid of me, but you are afraid of something...aren't you?" Pitch grins widely.
Friendly just continued to glare at him and tightened her grip on the white blade in her right hand.
