Jack and Friendly flew halfway around the globe, hand in hand. Jack introduced her to the different continents taking her through the cities and villages. Friendly was amazed with how beautiful the world really was. Jack smiled as her eyes filled with fascination and joy, and for the first time, Jack saw that the fear in her eyes had completely washed away.

Jack showed her his favourite areas and demonstrated how he created icicles and frosted the streets followed by a blanket of white, sparkling snow. Friendly watched with curious eyes as many children cheered with glee as they ran outside to begin playing in the snow with their friends. Some of them pointed at Jack with wide eyes and happy faces, thanking him for the snow day. Jack just laughed and waved at them, his face just as happy as theirs. One boy in particular ran up to him and hugged him tightly. jack returned his hug and ruffled his hair. Friendly floated up behind them.

"Wow. They...they can see you!" She gasped.

Jack returned her smile, but then it faded a bit when he remembered that she was invisible to the children. Even so, the smile never left his face.

Friendly squealed in surprise as a snowball hit her straight in the face. She wiped the snow away and smirked, mischievously at Jack.

"Oh, you'll pay for that!" She taunts with a giggle as she scoops a handful of snow and makes a snowball. She tosses it at Jack but he sidesteps and it flies past and lands on the back of a boy's head. He turns around and looks at Jack with accusing eyes.

"Hey! No fair, Jack!" He giggled.

"Well you should always watch your back, Jamie, you know what'll happen to you when I'm around!" Jack chuckles, throwing a snowball at him.

Jack and Jamie began throwing snowballs back and forth. Jamie kept trying to tackle his best friend to the ground but he always slipped away from his grasp and was rewarded with a snowball in the face. They laughed and cheered as the snowball fight got more intense.

One snowball hit Friendly, who was watching silently, and she shrieked with a chuckle. Jack has almost forgotten that she was there and immediately ran to her side.

"Jamie, this is my friend, The Friendly Ghost." Jack introduced.

Friendly's eyes lit up as a wide smile appeared on her face at the word. Jack smiled at her. She hasn't had a friend in years. She almost jumped up with joy but she composed herself and cheered with delight mentally.

Jamie peered at the empty space Jack gestured him to look at. "I don't see anything, Jack."

Friendly's smile slowly faded. Jack looked at her with a sad expression and put his hand on her shoulder. Before his hand made contact, Friendly just let it phase through her before trudging away. She didn't want to look at the children anymore as it made her feel sad that none of them could see her.

Jack was surprised with Friendly's reaction. " I have to go." He tells Jamie. "I'll see you later." He apologises and pats Jamie's head before hurrying up to Friendly.

"Aw, but Jack!" Jamie whined.

"Don't worry, Jamie, I'll be back before you know it!" Jack smiled waving goodbye.

"Okay, see you soon, Jack!" Jamie called as the winter spirit leaped into the air to follow his invisible friend.

Night time soon took over Burgess as Friendly landed in a forest and walked around, one foot crossing the other at a time. She swayed from side to side as she walked and stared up at the moon, it's rays of light shining through the leaves of the tall trees. Jack walked up beside her.
