Tooth gasps, putting her hands over her mouth. Bunnymund's ears go erect and he stares at North with a half shocked half angry expression. Even Sandman's jaw drops.

"He's back? Already?" Tooth asks.

"I thought he was dragged back in that little hell hole of his with his fearlings a year ago! What more could he possibly want, he knows well enough we can protect the children from him!" Bunnymund snaps.

"He's not after that this time." North interrupts. "He's after Friendly."

All the guardians turn their gaze towards Friendly who was biting her lip nervously.

"Why does he want Friendly?" Tooth asks in a small voice.

"He wants her fear." Says Jack. "Friendly's fear is really powerful to him and he thinks that if he captured her and..." He trails off. He didn't even want to think of what Pitch would do to her if he got her. "...h-he thinks her fear will give him enough power to defeat all of us." He settles with that. Defeating the guardians and giving the children nightmares is the only thing Pitch could possibly want more power for.

Then Bunnymund says something very surprising. "Well he ain't getting within two feet from her! There's no way he's taking our little Ghosty girl while we're around."

Friendly's eyes widen at Bunnymund. "Y-your Ghosty girl...?" She repeats with a slight hint of hope in her voice.

"You betcha, Ghosty. You're one of us now." Bunnymund puts his hand on her shoulder. Tooth hovers up to her with a smile.

"Couldn't agree more!" She beams.

Friendly looks at Sandman who smiles and nods, giving her the thumbs-up. She looks at Jack who grins at her. Then she looks at North who was also smiling in agreement.

"You may not be official guardian yet, but you are one of us now!" He says. "We will protect you and do whatever we can to find your purpose." He promises.

Friendly couldn't stop the smile escaping her face. She even felt tears sting her eyes. The guardians wanted to protect her. She was one of them...part of their family. She suddenly felt happiness flow through her whole body. She grinned at the guardians. Then her eyes suddenly sparkled. It only lasted half a second but they sparkled. Jack was the only one who noticed this. He blinked at Friendly and looked into her eyes.

"So, Frostbite. Did you discover anything new Friendly can do?" Bunnymund interupts his train of thought.

Jack jerked his head to look at Bunnymund. "Oh yeah. Uh, she can make other people phase through things too." He says, remembering the escape.

"Ah, so just the same-old ghost powers thing?" Bunnymund asks, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Pretty much." Jack shrugged.

Tooth hovered in front of Friendly and Friendly had to take a step backwards.

"Don't worry, honey, we'll help you find our what you can do." She encourages.

Friendly smiles. Even though Tooth tends to invade your personal space at times, Friendly felt comfortable around Tooth. She felt comfortable around all the guardians. She felt safe with them. Even safer than she felt in the mansion. Then she suddenly gasped when she remembered the mansion.

"Oh no! Charlie!"

This sudden outburst startled Jack and Tooth. Jack rushed to her side.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"It's night time." She said. "Charlie will be heading to bed soon and I always sing to him." She explains.

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Surely that's not something to worry about?" He asked.
