"Sophiaaa! Where are you?" Young Charlie searched high and low through the garden. He peaks in the bushes and looks under plant pots. Then suddenly, a girl with glossy black hair and pale blue eyes creeps up behind him and begins the tickle him to death.
"Got you!" She taunts with a laugh.
"Hahaha! Nooo! Get off, that tickles!" Charlie giggles.
The two siblings run around in the garden, one chasing the other. They collapse in the flowers in a giggling heap. Sophia begins to sing Charlie's favourite lullaby. Charlie listened intently with wide, sparkling eyes.
"I wish I could sing as well as you, Sophia!"
"Haha, you will someday. You just have to practice." She taps his nose and he giggles in response.
Charlie and Sophia were walking in the streets in the dark night with only the lampposts to light their way. Charlie happily gripped onto his big sister's hand.
Suddenly a strange man stops them.
"I need your money." He says in a threatening tone.
"I-I don't have any money." Sophia whispered. Charlie clutched tightly onto her arm.
The man suddenly points a gun at her. "I'm not messing around!"
"I have a child with me!" She snaps, glaring at the mugger intensely.
"Money! And I want your watch."
"Don't worry, Charlie we'll be alright." Sophia says, trying to calm the petrified child clutching her arm.
"Now, or I'll shoot!"
Suddenly he is knocked backwards as Sophia's leg swings up to his face, harshly breaking his nose. She begins to run down the pathway holding her dress up and dragging Charlie behind her. The man chases them cursing and thrashing obstacles out of his way.
They come to a dead end and fear and panic builds up inside Charlie, but Sophia remains determined. She notices a small crack in the wall.
"Charlie, you're small enough to fit through here." She says, pushing her little brother through the crack.
"But what about you!?" He cries, refusing to loosen his grip on her arm.
"I'll be fine. Go and find someone we know. Don't talk to any strangers you understand me?" She says sternly.
Charlie stares at her, fear consuming his eyes. "I...I can't..." He whimpered.
"You can do it, I know you can. Be brave. For me."
Charlie sniffed and clung onto his sister's arm. He couldn't leave her behind. He had to stay with her somehow. But time was running short.
"Just go. Don't worry about me, Charlie."
"No! I'm not leaving you here!"
"Shh, I'll be fine...I promise. Just run."
Sophia turns around and suddenly a loud bang echoes back and forth. Sophia's back hits the wall with a loud thump and her limp body slowly slides down it leaving a trail of blood. Her body hits the floor and her eyes face Charlie. She was still, her eyes half closed. A single tear had escaped her eye and was sliding down her cheek.
A loud shriek escaped from Charlie's lips as he watched his sister, shot to her death, lifelessly fall to the ground right in front of him.
Friendly gasps as she returns to the present. Jack peers at her from her side. She was panting heavily, her eyes welling with tears. "I remember..." She gasped, between breaths.
