Friendly struggled, trying to break free from the strong arms that had grabbed her, but she was weak due to the cold. The arms turned her around and she stopped struggling when she saw the owner.
"Are you crazy!?" Jack bellowed. "What are you doing out here!? Do you know how dangerous it is to be out in a blizzard!?"
Before Friendly could answer, Jack had grabbed her around the waist and took off into the air at full speed. He easily found his way through the blizzard back to North's workshop.
Once they were safely inside, Jack wrapped a blanket around Friendly's shoulders.
"For the last time, Jack, I'm fine!"
"You expect me to believe that? Look at you! You're shivering like crazy!" Jack exclaims. Jack had sat her on a chair next to the fire in attempt to warm her so he was standing a few meters away. The fire made him uncomfortable but even the orange flames couldn't compare to his rage.
"How'd you know where I went, anyway?" Friendly asks.
"Baby tooth." Jack says in a low tone. "What were you doing out there?"
"I was looking for this light that went past the window-"
"So you went out in that blizzard to look for some light? What if something happened to you? Look at what you're wearing, what if you froze to death? What if Pitch got you!?" Jack pinched the space between his eyes and breathed out heavily.
"Well none of that happened, Jack. I'm fine, alright?"
"But what if I didn't find you in time? Huh!? If you got hurt in that blizzard I created I wouldn't live with myself!"
Friendly sighed heavily and rolled her eyes but this only made Jack angrier. "I don't want you going out by yourself again, from now on you stay here where I can see you." He says, sternly.
Friendly scoffed. "Just who do you think you are, my Father!? What gives you the authority to tell me what to do?" She snaps, standing up.
"I just don't want you getting hurt-"
"Yeah, I get that, but I don't need your permission to leave the pole! I can go wherever, whenever I want!"
"Says the girl who's lived in some gloomy mansion for fifteen years without taking even a step past the door!"
"I would have gained the courage to go out at some point!"
"Would you really!?"
They were face to face and shouting at each other by this time.
"You could have at least told me where you were going."
"You were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you, I thought I was doing you a favour!"
"That's still no excuse for going out on your own in a blizzard! Have you already forgotten that Pitch is after you!?"
"We've been through this, Jack! I'm a ghost, dammit! He can't. Get. Me!"
"Well it didn't seem a problem for me to grab you out there, if I could grab you then he sure as hell could too!!"
"I can take care of myself, I don't need some skinny brat with a stick protecting me!"
"At least I'm not scared of my own goddamn shadow!"
"I am NOT scared of my own shadow!"
"But you are afraid aren't you? You're afraid of everything! What happens to you when you freeze in fear in front of Pitch, huh!? Your fear is the reason he's after you!"
