Chapter 8

Gabby's POV
Yesterday Emily and I had a lot of fun first we decorated some cookies, then we played tag, and when it got late we watched Monsters Inc. This morning I was making Emily breakfast before she woke up. Casey then surprised me when he walked right behind me. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and when he saw the pancakes he started taking things out of the refrigerator. What are you doing I asked looking a little confused. When Kristi and I were young mom would tell us to decorate the pancakes to make them our own. Wow, Matt I think that should become a tradition. Are you serious Gabby. Yeah we can start with you, me, and Emily. He picked me up in a bear hug and swung me around then he said he loved me. I asked if after he finished getting all the ingredients out if he could go see if Emily was awake.

Matt's POV
When I walked in I saw Emily all tangled up in the covers I helped her get untangled and then when I saw that her hair was all over her head I grabbed her brush and a bow and put her hair into a pony tail. Then I made her an airplane first she landed on the toilet so I could help her use the bathroom and wash her hands. Then when I picked her up she said Go Casey in a sweet innocent voice I picked up the speed as I ran down the hall into the kitchen. When she saw Gabs she gave her a kiss on the forehead. Then we started decorating and eating our pancakes.

1 hour later
Sylvie's POV
Our last call had mutlipe victims so when we got back are shift was over but before I went to pick up Emily I took a warm shower. When I eventually pulled up on front of Gabby and Matt's apartment it was going on two. I got out of the car and knocked on their door. Gabby opened the door quickly then and let me in before trying to catch Emily who was on Matt's back. I decided that I would join the fun and so I took my shoes off and started running after them. After about an hour we all just sat around laughing and trying to get out breath back. I asked them if I moved over to next shift would they mind babysitting until I found a babysitter. Casey and Gabby looked at me and said anything for Sylvie and Emily. I thanked both of them before grabbing Emily's stuff and heading home.
