Chapter 29

At shift
Sylvie's POV
When I arrived at work I went straight to my locker Gabby came out of Matt's room and greeted me. Before she could ask me what did the test say we got a call Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, and Battalion 25 Restaurant fire Pinstwell street 2345. Gabby and I ran to the ambulance as the firefighters went to the trucks. When I got in I fell asleep so when we got to call Gabby woke me up. The fire was bad Squad and truck came in and out carrying people. When more ambiances arrived they would help the ones we couldn't attend to when I heard they needed two paramedics Chief called us. I walked half way and I then got dizzy before falling to the ground. Gabby came over to me and started checking my vitals. Chief called in two other paramedics.
At the scene
Gabby started doing CPR and chest compressions on Sylvie. Chief asked if Gabby needed anything. She asked if he would do CPR as she went back to the ambo and grabbed a backboard and c-collar. When the firefighters came out they helped Gabby. Gabby shocked Sylvie three times. Before she was able to get a pulse. When Gabby put her in the back Matt jumped in and she regained consciousness. Gabby the test is positive Sylvie said.
At Lakeshore
Gabby's POV
I got out of the ambo abd opened the back doors. Casey helped me unload her I knew Sylvie was going to be OK but when they took Sylvie it all came rushing back to me how Shay died. When I fell to the ground and started crying Matt got down right in front of me and held on to me as I cried. When I was able to stop crying I gave Matt a passionate kiss on the lips and said thank I for always being there and supporting me a 100% also I love you. I love you Matt said.
