Chapter 12

Herman's POV
While I am trying to get the kids to stop messing with each other or running around I hear a knock on the door. I run and answer the door relieved to see Matt and Gabby standing there with bags in her hands. Gabby walks in and puts the bags on the counter. Then she grabs two movies and sat if you are team Bart the Mall Cop come over here and if you are team pitch perfect 2 sit on the couch. 3 Hermans went near Gabby while 2 Hernans and Emily stayed on the couch. Gabby put one movie in on the living room TV and she put the other one upstairs in my room. While she did that Matt and I talked and cooked some dinner for the kids. Gabby had suggested that we make tacos and just let them make them. Casey and I finished cooking 20 mins later and went to get Gabby who went back and fourth between the movies. First she let the Hermans that were up stairs do their taco first then the kids downstairs we were left to clean up a lot but after 1 hour I went upstairs and saw the movie credits with the kids all sleep and when I walked down stair all the kids was sleep even Gabby had fallen asleep. Casey helped me put them in bed and then he woke Gabby up and they left saying he would see Mr tomorrow.
The next day
Gabby's POV
I wasn't felling so well so Matt when in early to tell chief. I decided to text Sylvie saying she and Emily could come over if they wanted and I called Antonio asking when we were going to the Dominican to visit family and for the trial. He texted back saying ask chief Boden if you can take the next 2 weeks off. I told him that I wasn't feeling to well today so I would have to wait until I returned to work. He said that he would get the plane tickets and hopes that I feel better. After I finished talking Antonio Sylvie called saying she would be over in half an hour so I decided to make some pancakes. When Sylvie arrived I had just finished eating my pancakes. Sylvie and I talked about work for a while I told her that I was going to be back on ambo with Rafferty. She questioned me for a while but I told her that I would be busy for a while and that I really missed being a paramedic.
Gabby's and Sylvie's conversation
Gabby: I may not be here for the next two weeks.
Sylvie: Great so you're going to miss Emily's party.
Gabby: I forgot all about it I'm sorry but I'll still come she's turning 3 how would I miss that.
Sylvie: Gavin her step brother he's coming.
Gabby: How old is he.
Sylvie: He's five oh and Emily starts at her new daycare I was hoping you would come with me before I start shift.
Gabby: Sure it would be an honor I'll meet you there.
Sylvie: OK
Sylvie's POV
Emily was right beside me as we waited on front of her new daycare. After waiting for a while Gabby pulls up and greets us. When we walked into the daycare this lady greeted us when she saw Emily she started saying how she was so beautiful but she eventually got to the point and showed us her cubby and introduced us to some of the teachers. Emily went over to sit with the other kids while the teacher kept telling us stuff about the daycare. After that I put her stuff in her cubby and Gabby and I gave Emily a hug.
