~ALLIE POV~
"Wait, wait, wait," Bernard laughed. "You-You—"
Bernard couldn't even talk, he was laughing so hard. I rolled my eyes. "It wasn't that funny."
Bernard didn't answer, but his laughter filled my ears. I felt butterflies in the pit of my stomach. It wasn't the first time I had felt them. My cheeks blushed red as he finally stopped laughing.
"Okay, Okay," He said. "You've got to admit that it was funny."
I rolled my eyes again, and listened to Bernard start laughing again. It was nice to see him not so uptight. Though it was also a bit strange. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen Bernard smile. Once he calmed down again, he leaned back into the couch.
"You're mean." I told him.
Bernard gasped in mock offense. "I'm an elf. We don't get mean."
I gave him a look, in which he smiled. "Come on, Allison. You know what I mean."
"Don't call me that." I told him.
"Why not? Allison is so pretty." Bernard said. "Just like you."
I paused, and looked at him with wide eyes. My cheeks turned red and I rolled my eyes when I saw Bernard's cheeky smile.
"Don't say stupid stuff like that." I rolled my eyes.
Bernard also rolled his eyes. "It's not stupid if it's true."
I didn't say anything, but Bernard scooted closer. I glanced up at him, and let out a surprised sound when he leaned in and kissed me. We parted after a few seconds and I smiled slightly.
"Holly Jolly," I whispered.
