~ALLIE POV~
I stood in the living room as I watched Bernard get ready to leave. "Are you sure you have to go?"
He nodded, smiling at me. "Santa is sending me on a very important mission. I've got to go."
I sighed, going up to him and wrapping my arms around his neck. "I'll miss you."
"It'll be okay, Allie. I'll only be gone for two weeks."
I sighed as I hugged him tighter. "I don't want you to be gone at all."
He laughed a little, and squeezed me one last time before he let go. He rested his hands on my cheeks, and pulled me in for a quick kiss. "I love you."
My heart fluttered and I smiled. "I love you too."
He waved one last time, and he walked out of the door, though I didn't know it yet, that was the last time in a long time, I was going to see him.
