Finding Hope Somewhere

Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning, not even knowing what happened last night. I went into my bathroom and saw the bruise my mom left on my face after slapping me. I tried to cover it up with my foundation but it still was pretty visable.

I packed up all my stuff and headed downstairs. My parents were still sleeping so I just made myself a sandwhich for lunch and walked out the door. I took the long way to school which is by railroad tracks with little energy. I had so many flash backs about what happened yesterday I felt sick.

I arrived to school and I saw Jack sitting on the bench. I decided to walk over to him

"Hey Jack"

There was no movement, he just sat there with a blank face facing the grey pavement.

"You in there" I said sitting down next to him.

He got up and I could feel the friction when he left. He walked off into the school hallway and I just sat there wondering what was going on. I got up off of the bench and ran to my locker. I opnend it and all these plastic bats came falling from my locker. I heard all these giggilings in the background and one of the laughing persons was Jack.

"Hey Batgirl"

"Abigail what is this"

"Your own kind"

I looked up at Jack he just grinned and countinued to laugh.

"Is this funny to you Jack?" I asked getting up all in his space.

He just pushed me away and smiled. I couldn't believe this. Why was he acting like this. He is betraying me. How could he. I was so confused. I grabbed my books out of my locker and walked to first period, which is Social Studies.

"Hey Laura" Mr Burns said

"Hey"

I sat all the way in back and took out my books. I saw Jasper walking down the aisle towards me. He sat down next to me and winked.

"Hey how are you?"

"Terriable"

"Why?"

"I don't want to talk about it"

"Hey, do you want to maybe catch a movie later?"

You've got to be joking, Jasper just asked me out.

"Sure, what time?"

"Is 6:00 P.M. good?"

"Perfect"

I was smiling the whole first period. I was going on a date with my crush Jasper.

A few classes later it is lunch, I needed to get to the bottom on why Jack was acting like this. I walked over to him when Abigail walked right in front of me.

"Move"

"Are you going to make me?" She said with her hand on her hip

"Please move"

"What's that on your face?"

"A bruise"

I pushed Abigail out of my way and went over to Jack.

"What is your problem?"

"What are you talking about Laura?"

"Why are you being such a jerk?"

"Haha, I have no clue, now get out of my face"

"What?"

"Get out of my face"

I ran off to the bathroom crying, that's it no one loves me, Jack hates me, and Caroline doesn't call me anymore, why am I the one with a life like this?

School was fianally over so I packed all my stuff up and waked home. Jack usually always walks with me home, now I'm alone again. I don't have anyone I got home and went upstairs. I put my IPhone on my docing station and put my music to full blast.

Met a girl at seventeen.

Thought she meant the world to me, so I gave her everything ,

she turned out to be a cheat. 

Said she'd been thinking for a long time but she found somebody new

I was humming the lyrics to the song and that totally was my song to Jack right now. I still was so confused why he was acting like this. He can't be acting like this because of yesterday can he?
