Finding Hope Somewhere

Chapter 15

Prom is next week and I decided I am going. To bad my mom won't be here to see me in my dress and won't get to help me pick it out. When I got home I sat down in front of my aunt and waited to get her attention. She finally looked at me.

"Aunt Lynn, can we go dress shopping for prom?"

"I didn't think you would be going"

"I want to go"

"Alright, let me get my keys and purse, and we will go"

"Yay"

My aunt grabbed her keys and her purse and we left the house and got to her black Porshe. We went to the local mall to find my dress.

There was this one store that caught my eye it read "Dresses for Dears"

"Lets go in here Aunt Lynn"

"Okay"

When we walked in the store there was this lady that greeted us and asked it you needed help. We began looking at the first rack. My aunt was suggesting all the pink, yellow, and blue colors. But, then something caught my eye.

I ran over to the rack and was in love with this dress. It was black and had lace all the way across the top part and it had a half sleeve, and at the lower half it was all a sheer black. I was in love with it.

I took it off the rack and got the lady to open the room for me so I could try it on.

A few minutes later I came out with it on and my aunt almost started to cry.

"Laura, you look beautiful"

"Thank you, I finally feel beautiful"

"Laura, that's your dress"

"Yeah it is"

I went back into the dressing room and put my clothes that I was wearing back on. I grabbed the dress and took it to my aunt so we could pay.

We walked up to the regester so we could pay and the lady said "We also have shoes, and they are on sale."

"Go grab a pair Laura"

I walked to the shoe section and I saw a pair of black shoes with silver spikes and them. I put them on my foot and they fit perfectly.

I walked over to the lady and put them on the table with the scanner on it. She was done ringing it all up and the price was $200.00.

"Thanks"

"Your welcome Laura"

We left the mall and headed back home.

*The Next Day*

I got to school and I saw Jasper, he looked nervous. I didn't want to approach him until later. I was getting my books out when he came up to me. All of his friends, and the whole school was staring at both of us.

"Laura, I wan to ask you something"

"Yeah"

"Laura, will go to prom with me?" He said giving me flowers and a big heart that said "yes or no".

"Yes of course" I said hugging him and giving him a kiss.

"Good"

I never felt so special until now..
