Early morning training with Aizawa, every hero student's nightmare. Thankfully, they are at the point in the semester when it isn't mandatory for a professor to supervise their every move. As proposed by faculty, during their last half hour of training, the students will focus on their weaknesses either alone or in pairs for the remainder of the semester. The curriculum is more individually based, allowing all students to divide up into sections of the gym grounds depending on where they are in regards to training.

Aizawa has no problems with this plan as it is a pass to get paid for taking a quick nap in the professor's lounge.

In a studio ring, two students engage in a spar with direct instructions to not use their quirks. Not holding back, Urakaka throws jabs left and right. Her martial arts training from internships may give her an advantage over her opponent, but she is prone to overcompensating with heavy blows and hurting herself in the process. Akechi swiftly avoids a majority of her strikes. Ever since the first day of training, he always chooses to evade over striking back, making him less likely to do well in hand to hand combat. In this battle, the students are quite evenly matched in regards to their strengths. Neither are willing to fully lose their balance.

Uraraka closes in, rotating her body, she strikes her opponent in the sternum with her rear hand, demonstrating a successful Straight Punch that takes his breath away. Simultaneous to her hit, his elbow forcefully swings down and makes contact with her temple. Both fall to the ground in pain, Akechi gasping for air and Uraraka left to suffer severe nausea. Her hand hand clasps her mouth, eyes squeeze shut, and complexion pales.

Several floors below, Todoroki stands in the center of a room. His task is to gain a better understanding and control of his left side, an obstacle he intentionally ignored for years. The walls are steel plated, not a single window is in the space, and the door is sealed tight. He is free to regulate between hot and cold at rapid speed without causing property damage. With that notion, a sheet of ice covers every inch of the room, spikes crystalizing in the corners. Just as the ice settles, it melts. Clouds of steam rise up from the hot metal, fogging the room. His upper left side is set ablaze, however, no flames spread further than that. He feels constricted, irritated even as the climate shifts back to freezing temperatures.

Frost crawls up his cheek, a puff of cold breath escapes his lips. His arms are bare, compression tank clinging to his skin. Although his body can withstand the heat and chill, articles of clothing cannot. The metal grows hot again, turning red under his touch.

Just beyond Gym Gamma's entrance is an open street, simulating a realistic cityscape. Kirishima's foot sinks into a pothole, causing him to trip face first toward the ground. His gym uniform is torn to shreds, shirt lost in the crossfire. Scrapes and scuffs litter his torso, arms hardened to deflect incoming hits from his opponent.

Boots pound the ground, an arm outstretches and aims for Kirishima's exposed chest. Breath hitching, his whole body responds on instinct and hardens.

The explosion creates a crater big enough to swallow a bus, but Kirishima is unharmed. Blast after blast, Bakugo comes to realize that if he continues, he will burn out too soon. He needs to distance himself for some time and prioritize blasting condensed shots instead of consistently nuking the cement more than his target.

With a smug, sharp-toothed smile, "Is that all you got, Bakubro?!"

Bakugo grimaces, gripping Kirishima's arm and lifting them both up to the surface again in a flash. Once reaching four meters above ground, Bakugo shifts his body weight to gain momentum in his spin and flings his opponent forward. Kirishima's back slaps against a wall. Windows shatter and bricks crumble on impact, leaving a body-shaped indent in his place. He groans, shaking his head and shutting his eyes in an attempt to regain clear vision. Just as he opens his eyes, Bakugo is already in high altitude and aiming his palms accordingly.
