A warm day in the Saga Prefecture lures people out of their homes to enjoy the weather. Another Friday of fieldwork in broad daylight, a hero in training patrols the streets with hands intertwined behind his head and a resting grin. The collar on his pleather jacket is popped, blue lens shades sit on his head. Leading him on this route is his mentor. Carob complexion, mint green hair pushed back, and white mask covering his face, the pro is easily recognizable as The Battle Hero: Gunhead.
"Hey, Charge, it's none of my business, but are you related to any heroes?"
"Hm?"
"Your face- you look so similar to someone else I know."
"Well, actually yeah. Both my parents are pros. I get told I look like my mom, Electri-"
"KIOKO?! No way, we went to high school together... and she had a kid second year. WAAIT!"
Kaminari lowers his arms to his sides, gaze shifting down, "Yeahh, that's me."
"Oo, my bad. Is that a touchy subject?"
"Oh, no. It's cool."
Suddenly his posture is straight, and gaze is set forward.
Placing a hand on the student's shoulder, "For what it's worth, I think you're turning out pretty great."
Gunhead's free hand lifts to his earpiece, head turning over his shoulder.
"We're close. Let's go!"
"Ah- right!"
With that, the heroes rush to the scene.
A slim man in tight pants struts out of a convenience store, looking down at his phone with a big, arrogant grin. The bag over his shoulder is packed to the brim with cash. Just out of his field of vision a figure sprints across the street and hops over the bus bench. The figure extends his arm, shooting a zap of electricity at his exposed neck. The man falls to the pavement, twitching in pain.
"Heh, too easy."
Kaminari glances at a small silver bead on the robber's skin. This support item comes from the bands on his wrists and can attach to anything. On fabric, fur, skin, this bead acts as a target that attracts the volts from his fingertips. Next, he leans over to grab the bag strap.
"From behind!" Gunhead shouts, alerting the student to duck down.
The hero swings with great force toward a pair of accomplices, but they jump and dodge his attack.
Kaminari rises to his feet, "There's two more?!"
Slim men, same clothes and hairstyles as the first. Safe to assume they are related. The two land gracefully, mimicking one other by posing in a flamboyant fashion. Gunhead aims and shoots keratin from his wrists, intentionally missing. His plan is a success. The two are separated. Kaminari jumps into action, attacking the man on the left.
"What sewer rave did you guys crawl out of?" Kaminari dodges a kick.
Analyzing their movements, he notes that their combat style is heavily influenced by dance. Here starts a race to see who can knock the other down first. Gunhead swiftly grips the wrist of the man on the right, pinning him to the pavement.
The man on the left backflips, unaware that a bead is attached to his waist belt. The first man is regaining consciousness when his colleague lands to help him stand. They make a run for it, not wasting time to turn back. Kaminari is hot on their tail, aiming his index and middle finger. The target is difficult to see, but it is now or never. A stream of electricity shoots from his fingers, catching the waist belt just before they cut the crosswalk. Stunned, they fall to the ground.
