Ever so boisterous, a third year swings open the waiting area door. Blonde bangs spring up from his head and a beaming smile stretches his lips. "Hey! Todoroki, right?" He announces, entering at his own risk to greet a scowling underclassman. "You're on fire out there!"

The first year leans forward in his seat, trying to hide any signs of exhaustion. His gym uniform is ruined by burns, but his skin and hair are clear of smolder. "If you're here to just crack jokes then get out."

"Whoa, soldier, no need to be a burnout."

His frown deepens when his demand is treated like nothing more than a facetious remark. That menacing stare pierces the upperclassman's relaxed stance. "I don't have time for your damn games, Yagi. Some of us actually have to try to win."

"Hey, you got four minutes. She just executed the last guy." A man interrupts their banter, keeping his distance by staying behind the door and leaving just as quickly.

"What, already?! I swear I left the stands a minute ago."

Shoulders bouncing when he laughs, "Heh, that's gonna be some challenge."

'It'll be a good match, that's for sure.'

With a huff, Todoroki rises from his seat. His tall frame, broad shoulders, and threatening aura are great qualities for an aspiring hero. Only being only eighteen years old, this student already has a phenomenal handle on his quirk and harnessing his power. Making it this far in the annual Sports Festival in his case is not because of luck. It's because of great skill and passion. Attempting to push through and reach for the door, Yagi's hand lands firmly on his shoulder. The freshman is stopped in his tracks, subjected to look over his shoulder and listen.

"Look, I know we aren't close, but that woman currently has a malicious set of eyes on her. Be careful."

Slapping the hand away, "And why are you telling me this?"

"Well we're heroes. It's what we do in the name of protecting one another. Now good luck, do your best!"

Those words of encouragement barely nicked the surface of a densely guarded soul. Leaving the upperclassman behind, he heads forward with determination. Undaunted purpose in every step.

'I can't do anything to help her, but maybe you can, Todoroki Enji."

Present Day

"As I'm sure you already heard, the school faculty has agreed that the annual sports festival will be happening. President Enoshima wants the public to think that we are still going strong regardless of the recent attack." The professor announces in his dour manner, "The Dean even suggested we bring in some upperclassmen to talk to you about the expectations that come with participating." , he sighs, "They are the current big three of the 3-A class. Don't push it."

On cue, the classroom door slides open and three individuals enter. "Hey there, kiddos! Like sensei said, we're here to give you some tips and tricks for the upcoming sports festival. I'm Togata Mirio!"

A student from the back raises his hand and speaks regardless of not being called on, "You're literally like two years older than us. How does that make us kiddos?"

"Still younger though!" Answers a chipper woman, "We'll get you in the know so you don't make a fool of yourselves out there. As you probably already know, I'm Hado Nejire and this is our kitten-", she gestures to the man on her left, "Amajiki Tamaki."

He faces away from crowd, squeaking when hearing the mention of his name.

"Alright! First thing, the basics, like every year the place is gonna be packed with reporters and media outlets. Don't make it too obvious that you're trying to avoid them or you might lose some credit." Togata instructs, "If you are approached just politely decline their interview offer by saying you need to go get geared up for a match."
