Midoriya wakes up with a pounding headache. Laid flat on his back on the bottom bunk, body sore and bruised from the day before. The fight to the Rec Center left him and his peers beat and battered. Their mentors were standing at the front entrance, watching the students hobble closer. By the time they made it, the sun was already setting. The Pussycats realized then that they overestimated the students' abilities and gave them an impossible time limit to work with at this point. Without much conversation, more so muttering and occasional complaining, the students were escorted inside for dinner and later dismissed to bathe.
Sitting up, he scratches the back of his head and yawns. His bags are barely touched, the most he unpacked were a pair of shorts to sleep in. Looking around, he notices that the cabin is assigned to his male classmates. Kirishima may be on the opposite end, but his snoring is loud and distinguishable enough to hear from the front. No one else seems to be awake yet.
Midoriya stands, shifting to pull his bag out of the shelf.
"Midoriya, mon ami~"
Eyes darting to the top bunk, "Uh- good morning, Aoyama."
"Mm, good morning.", Aoyama reaches under his pillow, "You look tired. You need some cheese."
Digging out his toiletries, "I'm fine, thank you."
"Just a bite."
"You.. sleep with cheese under your pillow?"
"I see no problem."
"I gotta go."
Midoriya hurries to the shared bathroom with toiletries in hand and fresh gym clothes draped over his shoulder. Setting his items on the counter, he unpacks his toothbrush and starts his morning routine. In the mirror his eyes can't help but linger. Last night him and his classmates only made it to the cabin then passed out, he hadn't had time to truly observe and take in the space. Eventually his gaze lands on the scar on his upper arms. Eyes widen in realization that he had forgotten his sleeve at home.
After spitting into the sink then washing his brush, he reaches for his gym clothes to change. Shirt on, he pauses when picking up the pants. Something is crinkling in the pocket.
Good luck!
Midoriya grins. A little note left by his mother made his morning better.
By this time, Aizawa and Vlad King have arrived at the cabins to wake the men while Mandalay and Pixie-Bob wake the women. First official day of camp, tensions are rising by the minute as students get prepared and walk to the Rec Center for breakfast in the dining hall.
A young boy in his pajamas and a red cap is standing near the serving counter of the buffet, watching the hero students quietly from his spot.
"Who is that kid, what's he doing here?" Midoriya thinks out loud.
Passing by, "Oh, this little guy? He's my cousin's son. He's been living with me.", Mandalay explains, "Don't be shy, Kota, say hi to everyone."
Crouching down to Kota's level, "Aw, hey there. My names Midoriya Izuku and I'm in U.A.'s hero course. It's nice to meet-", Midoriya is then punched in crotch and falls to the floor.
Ida rushes to help Midoriya up, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! You fiend of a child! A punch to the scrotum is unforgivable!"
"The last thing I want is to hang with some wannabe heroes." Kota scowls.
Offended, "Wannabe?! How old even are you?", Ida questions.
Bakugo grins, "That brat's got spunk."
"It's like a mini version of you." Todoroki comments.
