The first incident was in Keikei City, where an extraordinary child was born who radiated light. After that, reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe. No one knew what was causing these quirks. Before long, the supernatural became totally normal. Dreams are reality. The world became a superhuman society with about eighty percent of the population possessing some uncanny ability. Our streets looked like scenes from comic books. A city swirled with chaos and confusion, a new profession dominated our collection consciousness. It was an age of heroes.
With the rise of superpowers came an explosive increase of criminal activity. While governments were stuck trying to figure out how to reform with quirks in mind courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep our city safe. Protecting us against villains who abuse their power for evil. With overwhelming public support, heroes found an official place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those who perform the best are paid the most and get all the fame and glory. Their careers depending on their ability to stay in the spotlight
When it came to the other twenty percent of the population, however, you were considered expendable. My passion related to becoming a hero seemed to be out of reach until a real miracle occurred. Standing in front of me was the hero I idolized most of my life. At that moment, I didn't realize that fateful encounter would change the course of my future.
My name is Izuku Midoriya and this is the story of how I became a hero.

U.A. University, a serene campus inconspicuous to the general public eye. On account of a 0.2 percent acceptance rate, not just anyone could walk beyond the gates. Clearly, some of the campus is under construction, presumably renovations as new tech revelations are a constant at this school. Despite this, a sea of greenery and trails could be found surrounding the West end. Each course provided at U.A. is occupied in separate learning facilities throughout campus, along with each class taking up residence in dormitories. Not very often do courses intermingle. Especially to those cliques who find significance in status.
With the loud ring of an alarm, a strapping first year leaps at the chance of a successful first day by exploring the site. Slipping on that grey suit jacket, white button-up, matching slacks and a navy tie, he takes a long look in the mirror before heading out. His attention locks on the agenda of learning the location of every class, the cafeteria, and the famous shrine dedicated to hero alumni. Since the acquiring of a quirk, he couldn't allow this opportunity and privilege to go to waste. The symbol of peace, All Might, entrusted one of the biggest secrets in history to this young man. The hero found him as a fresh high school graduate, begging for reassurance of a future in gallantry.
The air is crisp, the sun is rising. Before the student stands a tall, curved slab of concrete decorated in plaques of bronze. Each engraved with a name and alias, also known as a 'hero name'. Every name belongs to a savior, a protector, a hero. Someone willing to lay down their life for the cause of keeping the country safe. Across the way sits a composed girl, presumably another student by the required uniform. Grey skirt, shiny black loafers, white button-up, and navy sweater vest. Disinterested in the other presence ogling at the shrine, she scrolls away on her phone.
"May I sit here?" The young man encounters her with formality. His face littered with freckles and a mess of green hair, the student offers a small grin.
Looking up from the article on her screen, the girl replies, "Go ahead."
A small 'thank you' passes his lips before taking a seat beside the stranger. However, there's not much of a pause between their first exchange, "This is amazing! U.A. is like its own gated community."
"You like to think out loud a lot?"
"AH, I'm sorry. I guess you could say I'm excited to be here." The young man stammers at her observation.
