Vegas woke up to an empty bed. He looked around the room for his husband, but he wasn't there. He immediately got up and checked if he was in the bathroom, but he wasn't there either. He rushed down the stairs and sighed in relief when he saw his husband cooking pancakes and his litter sister sitting behind the cooking island.
Since what happened three years ago, all the torture and pain, Pete and Vegas were inseparable.
''Morning.'' He exclaimed as he hugged his husband from behind and kissed his cheek.
''Vegas.'' Pete pushed him away.
''Oh, come on, can't I hug my wife?'' Vegas said quietly sulking and Aspen laughed at the scene.
''No Vegas, can't you see I'm cooking.'' Pete scolded.
''Yes, and I don't care.'' His husband responded and hugged him again. Pete turned off the stove as he finished making pancakes.
''Okay, whatever, let's eat.'' Pete took the plate of pancakes to the table, and Vegas and Aspen followed. As they sat down Macau entered the room.
''Macau you should eat something before going to the university,'' Pete spoke stopping him in his tracks.
''But I'm not hungry,'' Macau complained.
''Macau don't be stubborn and listen to Pete.'' His brother demanded.
''Uh fine,'' Macau exclaimed sitting down beside his sister.
''Aspen, I wanna go out today. Do you have work?'' Pete asked as they were eating.
''Why don't you ask me if I have work?'' Vegas questioned sulking again.
''Stop sulking you big baby, plus do you really wanna go shopping with us?'' Aspen laughed at her brother.
''No, I don't have work.'' She added.''Great, then I'll get Venice ready and we can go,'' Pete said.
''I'm off,'' Macau exclaimed as he stood up.
''Do you need a ride? I'm going out either way.'' Vegas asked and Macau nodded.
''Forgetting something?'' Pete teased his husband as he too stood up.
''Never.'' Vegas denied kissing him and walking away. ''Love you!'' He shouted before leaving the house.
Aspen shook her head and laughed, this happened almost every morning.
''I better go check on Venice and get him ready,'' Pete told his sister-in-law before leaving.

Pete and Aspen dragged their two bodyguards around the mall, visiting every shop there was. Those poor bodyguards. Well it wasn't Pete's or Aspen's fault that Vegas insisted that they have bodyguards with them all the time.
Now they were sitting on a bench watching Venice play on the playground.
"We should probably head home. Vegas will be angry for staying here to late." Pete announced.
"Sure, but try telling Venice that." Aspen said pointing to the little boy playing.
"Pa, An come play." Venice came running to them.
"We should go home baby, it's getting pretty late. I'm sure dad would like to play with you too." Pete calmly told his son.
"Okay" Venice responded pouting.

Always when they went out Pete would drive and the bodyguards followed them in another car. This time was the same.Pete was driving, Aspen was sitting in the passenger sit and Venice was soundly sleeping in his harness car seat in the back.
Suddenly there was a car driving their way. Maybe a drunk driver who forgot where to drive.
"Pete, watch out!" Aspen shouted, but before Pete could properly react the two cars collided.

In the meantime Vegas and Kinn were in an important meeting when Vegas' phone suddenly started ringing."I'm sorry." He excused himself before he turned down the call, since it wasn't a number he knew.
Nop, Vegas' bodyguard came into the meeting room along with Porsche after a few minutes.
"Porsche is it urgent, we are having a meeting with important clients." Kinn asked his husband.
"Vegas didn't you get the call?" Porsche ignored his question.
"I did get a call but I declined it, I thought it wasn't important." Vegas said.
"Well it is important. Pete, Aspen and Venice were in a car crash." Porsche explained.
"What!?" Vegas exclaimed standing up.
"Yeah, they're in the hospital right now. Aspen has only minor injuries and Venice is totally fine, as for Pete we don't know yet." Porsche told them.
Vegas didn't say anything, he was to worried for his family. He told Nop to get the car and they quickly went to the hospital.
Macau and Alex were already there waiting for Vegas to arrive. Macau was holding a sleeping Venice in his arms.
As soon as they reached the hospital, Vegas ran in looking for his brother.
"Venice." He called out as he reached them. He took him in his arms, holding him tightly. Venice started crying again calling his pa and aunt, but they weren't there.
"It's okay baby, I'm here, don't worry." Vegas was trying to calm him down as the doctor came, to tell them how Pete was doing.
"His condition is stable for now. But we don't know when or if he's going to wake up." Dr. Top said before going to check on other patients.
Macau took Venice back into his arms and Alex led Vegas to Aspen's room. She had a few bandages on her arms and neck. She wasn't injured that badly. Alex and Vegas both sat on each side of her bed, letting her rest.
As soon as Aspen woke up, she asked about Venice and Pete, but all they could do was bring Venice to her and assure her that Pete was gonna be okay.
"I'm sorry." Aspen said as everyone left the room and the only ones who stayed were Venice, who was sleeping in bed next to her and Vegas, who was sitting on the chair by her bed.
"It's not your fault. It happens." Vegas assured her.
"I know, but if I could have seen the car approaching before, this wouldn't have happened."
"Again, this isn't your fault. It's that fucking drunk drivers and he's been taken care of." Vegas reassured.
"Vegas-" Aspen started.
"Get some rest." He cut her off, stood up and left the room.
