For the past two weeks, Vegas has been in and out of the hospital, waiting for Pete to wake up. And he did eventually, but there was something that they didn't expect.
"Pete?" Vegas called out as his husband slowly opened his eyes. When he regained enough strength he tried to sit up.
"Slowly you might hurt yourself," Porsche said helping him sit properly.
"What happened?" Pete asked looking confused around the room.
"You were in an accident, don't you remember?" Aspen asked standing beside Porsche.
"No, I-I don't." Pete stuttered.
"Can I ask you something?" He looked between Vegas and Aspen.
"Yeah, go on." Vegas let him.
"Why are you here Khun?" As soon as Vegas heard the question, he got up from the chair and left the room already knowing what was happening.
"Pete, what's the last thing you remember?" Porsche asked his best friend.
"I was on a mission for Khun Kinn in the minor house. That's the last thing I remember." Pete told them.
"That's all?" Aspen asked.
"Yes, why do you look so shocked?" Pete was now even more confused than before.
"Because that was three years ago. You lost three years of memories." Aspen explained. Pete's eyes went wide,
" Do you want us to tell you about those three years?" Porsche asked.
"Go on," Pete said.
"Well you fucked her brother and now you have a child together." He said casually.
"I have a child!?"
"Yeah, you know how a child is made and born." Porsche retorted.
"Ow!" He exclaimed as Aspen hit him in the back of his head.
"What was that for?" Porsche questioned when he turned around to look at her."Look at what you've done." She says pointing to Pete whose face had turned ghostly white as he stared at his lap.
"But I only spoke the truth," Porsche said as the door to the room opened and in stepped Vegas. His eyes were red and puffy from crying as he sat down in the chair closest to Pete.
"I hope that the hallway is still the same as it was a few hours ago," Aspen said hoping to lift the mood, but Vegas said nothing and instead just, stared blankly at the love of his life and nodded.
"Are you okay Khun?" Pete asked looking at Vegas concerned.
Vegas looked up at his husband and gave him a weak smile. "I'm okay."
Aspen nudged Porsche and it took him a couple of seconds to figure out what she wanted. He stood up and they walked out of the room.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" Porsche asked as they were standing in the hallway.
"Who Vegas or Pete?"
"Vegas, I know that Pete will be fine."
"No, he'll say he's fine, but we all know that he isn't."
"Let's just get a coffee and come back, I need to call Kinn," Porsche said avoiding the conversation they just had.
In the room, Vegas was still sitting silently by Pete's bed not knowing what to say. After a few minutes, he stood up. "You should get some sleep." Pete laid back down in bed drifting off to sleep.
As Pete was half asleep Vegas whispered "I missed you, darling." And kissed his forehead, before leaving the room again.Pete was lost in his own thoughts. Was what Porsche said true?
He felt bad for Vegas, it probably hurt a lot, a person who you love dearly didn't remember you. It was really sad.He eventually fell asleep, due to the meds the doctors gave him.
